I used to rely on carousel posts for engagement, but lately they’ve been flopping compared to short-form videos. Have Reels completely taken over, or are carousels still worth doing if you target niche audiences?

Reels dominate reach right now because Instagram’s algorithm prioritizes video content — especially for discovery. But carousels still work if your goal is deeper engagement with a niche audience.

Both are valid approaches, test both and see what is performing better for your specific audience. There is no specific answer applied for everybody

Reels dominate reach and discovery in 2025, but carousels still work for niche audiences and in-feed engagement best strategy is to use both, with Reels driving reach and carousels driving deeper engagement.

Reels get more reach now, but carousels still work well for niche audiences and educational content. Mixing both keeps engagement balanced and attracts different types of followers

Analytics show Reels push more impressions, but carousels push more saves per post.

Feels like Reels totally dominate reach now, but honestly, I’d still mix in carousels. For niche audiences, they can drive solid saves and depth, just won’t go as viral as short-form video lately.

I’ve noticed the same thing lately — Reels are definitely getting more reach overall, but carousels still have their place. If you’re in a niche where people actually want to learn something (like tips, breakdowns, or tutorials), carousels can still pull strong saves and shares, even if the reach looks smaller.

Reels help you grow, but carousels help build trust and keep followers engaged long-term. I usually mix both — Reels for discovery and carousels for deeper value posts. That combo seems to work best right now.

It really depends on your audience and content type. Lately, Instagram’s algorithm favors Reels, so short-form videos tend to get more reach and discovery. That said, carousels still have value—especially if your audience is niche or highly engaged with your content. Carousels are great for storytelling, tutorials, or detailed tips, where users swipe through multiple slides.A good strategy is to mix both: use Reels for broad discovery and carousels to deepen engagement with your core followers. Testing both formats and tracking performance is key, because results can vary depending on niche and content quality.

reels get big reach now but carousels still win for saves/comments in many cases. if i were you i’d post 1-2 reels/week for growth and 1 carousel/week for engagement and retention. work both.

Reels generally perform better for reach in 2025, but carousels can still win for engagement + saves in niche/educational content. Best strategy: use Reels for discovery, carousels for depth.

reels works best than carousal now days. if you are running ads then for some type of product carousal still works best.

Reels usually perform better than carousels right now, but you have to test different kinds of reels in order to see what is working best for you.

Reels are definitely taking most of the attention right now, but carousels still work well if your content hits a specific niche or teaches something valuable. I’d say keep doing both Reels for reach, carousels for depth and connection.

Reels dominate for broader reach, but carousels still perform well for engagement and saves, especially in niche or educational accounts. Mix both for best results.

Reels definitely dominate reach right now, lekin carousels ab bhi kaam karte hain agar content educational ya niche-focused ho. Reels grab attention, but carousels build trust aur save/share value dete hain.
