Trying to rank faq can lead to google algo penalty. There is a google update in place targeting such method:

• Scaled Content Abuse Policy (March 2024): This policy was updated to target large-scale content creation aimed at manipulating search rankings, regardless of whether it's generated by humans, automation, or a combination. This includes low-quality content, such as unhelpful articles, that may be created specifically to appear in PAA features.

There are 2 more;

• Helpful Content System (August 2022 and onward): This system promotes people-first content and demotes unhelpful, unoriginal content created primarily for search engines. Unhelpful content appearing in PAA is a sign that a website's overall quality is being assessed negatively by the system.
