How Can i make my first $200 online (please read below for context!)

Hello all!

I am a very broke 17 year old who wants to make my first $100 online but I seem to not find anything. (I have basically no money in my bank account and just about $10 in bitcoin )

I can't get an irl job due to strict parents lol, although I have a lot of free time on my computer. I've tried doing surveys and microtasks and I made my first $15 from these, but it is very time consuming and a lot of the time it does not pay out.

I've searched on this forum numerous times on how to make money, how to make quick money, and similar titles but the answers given are super generic.
(example: someone would say "affiliate marketing", "create a website and sell ad space" or "sell high karma reddit accounts" but dont go into the logistics as in where I can promote the links/accounts/websites to.

I don't mind going into gray-hat territory (I use to program game cheats and did some torrent related stuff).

Also, preferably if the methods provided / threads you recommend me read in this forum allow payments in Bitcoin or Litecoin (it is just my preferred way of payment ).

Often it takes money to make money, so starting with basically $0 is difficult. But if you want reasonable fast and a decent amount of money, depending on where you live I would join focus groups. These are different from sweepstakes, microtasks or question forms. With focus groups you might have join in some research program/discussions online /offline. Some research companies pay you out in cash others in giftcards (you could resell these). I got a course a while ago how you can earn $500 to $1k a month doing this, but it is mainly focused on USA. So where you live is of importance. If you want I can share it with you.

Thanks for this! As of now I do actually make youtube videos, but these are more for passion than profit.

It really depends on what you have in mind. What are your ideas?

Yeah, making your first $100 online with no budget is tough, but not impossible.
Since you’ve got time, focus on small skills you can sell — stuff like writing short scripts, basic video edits, or even doing simple automation tasks. Fiverr or Telegram groups can work for that.
If you’re already into YouTube, keep at it — that skill alone can open doors later.
Just stay consistent, avoid shady “quick money” stuff, and build something small but real. The first $100’s always the hardest.

Quick money is hard, but the quickest thing you could do is try to sell your skills at a discount on freelancing sites.

But at 17, do you really need to make money fast? Concentrate on a long-term project with long-term potential. Give yourself at least a year until you expect your first $100. I think it took me a bit longer to make my first $100 and there were methods that you could do back in the day that were a lot easier to pull off.

Money follows skills. You'll never make your "first $200" as you havn't trained yourself in any skills worth that I don't think. People are paid what they are worth generally, until what what they do in their spare time changes that.
