I'm starting a new social media profile.

I'm making test videos short form content (testing restaurants, new things from shops, etc.).

I need to buy and then take a video of it, tell a few words, etc.

How often do I need to post on these 2 platforms to get followers? Twice per week would be enough?

Initially, you can post 2 posts per week. But later, you can increase the number of posts to attract more followers and make your page more prominent.

Posting consistently will help grow your account. As long as your content is high quality, I would aim for 3-4 posts a week.

Twice a week is a good start! If you can post 3-4 times a week, even better. Consistency is key!

New profile? How's the engagement? If pretty high, then go ahead and post more. Soon as engagement drops, you stop posting.

3 times a week to get around 30k views monthly as a wedding photographer.

You can get more views if you post 5 times a week but from my experience not more than that.

Replicate what your successful competitors are doing.

I've made a post here on that : https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/guide-sop-the-copy-paste-method-to-go-viral-on-tiktok-instagram.1746455/#post-19771423
Thank you for sharing, it's really helpful for people like me

I would recommend at least 4 reels per week. Coz, not all the things that we post would work with audience. So trying different things frequently may work.

For TikTok and Instagram Reels, twice a week is usually too slow in the beginning—posting 3–5 times per week (even daily if you can) gives the algorithm more chances to test your content and push you to new audiences; once you gain traction, you can ease back to 2–3 strong posts weekly.

On TikTok and Instagram, twice a week is fine to start, but for faster growth you’ll want 3–5 posts weekly. The key isn’t just the number, it’s consistency and testing different styles until you see what sticks.

I used to post everyday. But 3-4 times a week is sufficient as well.

WHAT IS YOUR VIDEO SUBJECT?

id say start w 3-4 quality posts per week. check and analyze the best time to post when your target audience is more active.

For Instagram, it would be around 1-3 times for reels. For regular posts like iamges, 1 time is fine. For TikTok, you can post up to 5 each day and the reach per video will still be good.

Posting 2 times a week is fine to start, but consistency matters more than frequency. If you can keep a steady schedule, your audience will get used to it and you’ll grow over time.

Twice a week is a solid start — consistency matters more than sheer volume. If you can keep quality high and engage in comments, you’ll grow. Once you find a rhythm, you can always scale up with more posts or reels. Keep it fun and authentic, that’s what pulls followers in!

Y'all are so conservative here. If you have the means to produce enough content, I would easily drop multiple reels a day even. Like 1-5, depending on niche.
