I need some clarification on what type of content I should interact with on TikTok to maximize views. In my previous post, I received some advice, but I still find it a bit confusing, so I’ll summarize here.

My channel is about AI, focusing on movie characters. The way I usually interact is like this: for example, if I’m planning to post a video about Movie A tomorrow, the night before I’ll search for Movie A on TikTok, interact with related videos for about 15–20 minutes, and then those videos start appearing on my For You page. I take this as a signal that TikTok has recognized my upcoming content.

This method does work to some extent, but people pointed out a few weaknesses:

  • Constantly switching between different movies weakens my channel’s identity because it confuses the TikTok algorithm about what my channel is really about.
  • Since I change topics often, I need to post at least 2–3 parts to optimize views (because TikTok has to keep re-identifying my niche). As a result, it’s harder for a single video to hit really high numbers like 20M+ views (my channel’s peak is 11M).
  • It takes too much time to interact manually, which makes it difficult to scale multiple channels.

So my question is:

How can I interact in a way that TikTok clearly understands my channel is about AI and movie characters, rather than just about one specific movie?

What type of content or channels should I be interacting with? (For example, should I interact with other AI-related creators, or channels that also focus on movie characters? I’m not sure about this part.)

Also, how do I stick to a consistent niche long-term? If I’m pioneering a niche that doesn’t really exist yet, what kind of channels or content should I interact with so that TikTok pushes my videos to the right audience?

I’d really appreciate a detailed explanation on this. Many thanks!

Yes simple. Interact more with the contents of creators in your niche. You can even search them, view, like and comment if possible, with that the algorithm learns your preference

TikTok responds better when your content sticks to a clear theme. Instead of jumping between too many topics, keep your posts centered on the niche you want to grow. Engaging with similar accounts and posting regularly helps the algorithm understand your direction.

I used this method before, but I found it ineffective. I even had to discard a few accounts because of it, as they got 0 view or very few views. Maybe I need to try this method again.

From what I’ve seen, TikTok’s algo responds better when you keep your interactions and content tied to the same niche. So if your channel is about AI + movie characters, stick to engaging with similar accounts instead of jumping between random movies. It helps the system connect your profile to a clear theme.
