If a username becomes available for 14 days, is it possible to use turbo on and cop that before the other guy does?

If a username becomes available, you can just get it. Can you explain what you mean by "turbo"? Is that an application that would automatically check if a username is available, and then somehow put it on hold once its available? In that case, that would use API, and Instagram is able to detect that and you may have a higher chance of getting your profile flagged that way. Let me know if that is what you meant.

Yeah the autobot that does clicks for you so when the username opens up, they take over.

So I guess people don't do that anymore? The guy who owned the username i want changed his username to random "user11039az" etc. and I am guessing he is trying to transfer over the username in 14 days. im trying to think of a best way to get that username in 14 days.

Auto-turbo” tools probably don’t work well anymore. safest way is to watch usernames yourself and grab one quickly if it becomes free

Not really like it was. Platforms have significantly improved their systems to handle dropped names. It's much harder to grab them quickly now.
