Has anyone successfully created Amazon buyer accounts without getting the dreaded hold email?

I've been trying to make Amazon buyer accounts with genuine credit card, but as soon as I make an order I seem to always get the issue of the account being on hold for suspicious payment activity.

You should let your account “soak” for a while, buy some cheap items first and then gradually increase the order value to avoid Amazon holding the order due to suspicion.

This usually happens when Amazon's system detects inconsistencies - even with a real credit card. Common triggers include using proxies or VPNs, mismatched billing info, new devices or IPs, or trying to place an order too soon after account creation. To reduce risk, let the account “age” a bit, match all details perfectly, and avoid high-risk items or gift cards.
