Struggling to get consistent traffic

I have been blogging for a few months but I am struggling to get consistent traffic. What do you guys suggest for a beginner should I focus on SEO or social media promotion first?

I think you should focus on social media and regularly post content. And eventually you will have a growing audience you need a little patience in this matter.

You can kinda do both, at the same time. SEO - No need to focus on Off page optimisation, just do on page optimisation when writing content and proper internal linking, after that you can promote those posts in social media. if any of your content does good in social media, you will get backlinks naturally so.

Do a mix of both so that you are not dependant on any one only. Even if one method dies ,you will keep getting traffic on the website.

don’t pick 1 lane only. fix site structure + keywords early so content ages right. meanwhile use socials (twitter, reddit, fb groups, quora) to seed posts + grab first eyeballs. that combo builds momentum til google rankings catch.
