Hello!

Etsy suspended my shop, which was fairly big (over 20k sales). I applied for reinstatement, but they declined because I was selling items that violated their policy. I still have access to the shop and all the messages. What if I create my own website on shopify and start messaging my etsy buyers to let them know I’ve moved my business there?

What were you selling? And you could definitely host your page somewhere else as long as the items aren't prohibited there. Ebay, facebook, any third party platform. Maybe even shopify like you said. See what is prohibited on the platforms so you know what the level of risk is. Good luck

I don't think they are so stupid to allow a banned seller to mass dm buyers with a link
Your messages would probably be shadowbanned
But you don't have anything to lose (except for time), try to do that, let's see if their system works

I agree, you most probably will not be allowed to do it. anyways, what was the product you were selling?

I do not recommend using Etsy to communicate with your customers. This will lead to a permanent ban of your Etsy account. However, if there are no other ways, then you can use this as a very last option.

Considering that you have nothing to lose, identify your most loyal/major clients and start with them. Do not send messages too often, and do not insert any copypasted text with links or make them look like simple text.

Same thing, its about 4 policies violations and immediatly suspended unfortunately. However I opened new shop

I was trying to start an Etsy business with digital products, but my account got locked, which is frustrating.
