Hey guys,
I’m just starting with GSA SER and RankerX, and I’m a bit stuck on one thing: finding good quality target sites.

I know SER can scrape, but I’ve read that scraping alone gives a lot of junk and low-quality links. Some people say to use verified lists, others talk about scraping with footprints, and some recommend paid providers.

For those of you who are actually running GSA SER right now – how do you go about getting quality sites for backlinks? Do you buy lists, scrape them yourself, or use another method? Any tips or recommendations would be super helpful.

From what I’ve seen, scraping alone usually pulls in a lot of noise, so quality suffers. Some people mix it up start with a verified list for a cleaner base, then scrape fresh targets with footprints to expand. Paid providers can save time but it really depends on budget. I think testing a mix (scraped verified maybe a small paid list) gives a clearer picture of what works best for your projects.

Any paid lists that you can suggest me?

Yeah, I’ve seen people mention providers like Asia Virtual Solutions or Loopline’s verified lists, but honestly results seem to vary a lot depending on niche and budget. Some folks swear by mixing a small paid list with your own scraping so you’re not fully dependent on one source. Curious if anyone else here has had consistent results with a specific provider?

Scrape your own targets. No need to do this through SER itself or Scrapebox, you can also process the data from commoncrawl archive.
100% commoncrawl archive is a great source of targets. I scraped many targets that haven’t been spammed. Only issue with that is if you are using the default content built into SER like auto anchors and other content files that SER uses inside of your content, power users will find the websites and they will be spammed. Because we scrape for the default content to find new targets.

First things first: customize SER so there is no default content used. Do that while you are scraping before creating any campaigns.

Do not buy lists if you can help it.

Verified lists → much cleaner, saves time, and you know they work with SER.

Scraping with footprints → good for fresh targets, but you’ll need solid filters (PR, DR, OBL, etc.) to avoid garbage.

Paid providers → worth it if you want a constant stream of clean, updated targets without burning resources.
Tell us you’ve never used SER without telling us. Verified lists are spammed so you didn’t answer the question.

PR is an obsolete metric since G stopped updating it in 2013.

Please stop the ai chatbot nonsense.

Totally get where you're coming from—scraping alone can get messy. Personally, I use a mix: I buy verified lists from trusted providers for speed, and scrape with custom footprints to build niche-specific links.

Filtering with SEREngines or GSA’s site list cleanup tools also helps improve quality. Consistent filtering and testing are key.

scraping gets messy if you don’t know how to scrape and never have before ;)

It’s a bot that slightly rewrote @Fiducia post #6. I’ve already reported it.

If you want to learn to scrape there’s many YouTube videos.

If you want to learn to scrape commoncrawl it’s possible a couple of us already have python scripts. Just send a dm. Ignore the bots
I sent you a request

The best approach is usually a mix: use verified lists from trusted providers for quality, then scrape with good footprints to keep adding fresh targets. Paid lists save time, but scraping helps you grow long-term. Most experienced users do both and constantly filter out junk to keep their link profile clean.
No most experienced users do not buy lists. We know you’re using ai to answer questions without any understanding because of the bold text footprint.

Stop it. Get some help.

It's hard to scrape nowadays without decent resources, especially time. If you're trying to scrape Google (of course that's the most efficient database for target finding), it takes effort. The best bet is to subscribe to a premium link list for the long term,it often costs less than a dollar per target. Stay away from Loopline as suggested here; he doesn't maintain the service (he mentioned elsewhere he's into a different service). There are other providers where you can get filtered, verified targets for pennies, like SER verified lists, GSA link lists, SER links, etc. I subscribe to two services at a time for long-term plans. It's also great to have SErnuke engines, they're solid.

You can still scrape links yourself, but I'd buy a service and focus on other things. Right now I own more than 500 sites and run five copies of GSA (13 GSA copies total). That's me,one-man operation at large scale, heavily dependent on automated link building with these tools and getting traffic from Google (not their AI model yet lol).

100 percent agree with you that being said if someone still need targets after buying a link list or already have batch we can scrape their outbound links of those targets so op can do that too..but you still need to filter those from domdetailer or even gsa scraper for 3rd party metrics alternatively to google pr.

Yes i dont personally like ai search model for my day to day purpose...still google simple search term is the king

Sure thing

Fyi i don't offer any service here / i dont trade anything..just want to make clear for forum rules.
I know, I am not trying to buy anything. Just few questions
