What are eBay accounts actually worth?

I use my eBay account for legitimate purposes. I've had it pristine for over 8 years now. I have had several inquiries as to what I'd sell it for and honestly, I am left at a blank. I've never heard of people selling their eBay accounts successfully. What does such an aged account with over 200 seller feedback go for roughly? In an imaginary world of course. I don't think I'd part with mine, just curious if I drop the eBay thing in the future.

I've seen accounts similar to yours go for anywhere from $50-$100!

All the best

I'd be extremely careful selling a used eBay Account. You may all be thinking money at the moment, but once it's out of your hands, you don't know what is going to happen. They can use it unethically to scam a load of people, hiding their tracks the entire way. And let's face it, 95% of the time, the reason why people want to buy a used ebay account, is to do something unethical - otherwise they'd start from the beginning.

Who is it going to come back to?

Hopeful that made you think twice lol :)

Best wishes :D

It wont come back to you if it is sold, and you say it was hacked. eBay are smart as hell. They can easily tell who is on whos account.

For 200, it isn't worth it. Can make so much more if done right. I was thinking such an aged account would be more valuable. And.. I would not be concerned with the buyers actions after I sold it. Out of my hands eBay. :theyareon

it is, an aged account like yours i'd say is probably worth at least 400, if not more ..

Legit (non hacked) accounts with good feedback and age are worth a pretty penny, although it has been a mission for me to find someone these days to purchase mine, don't see it for less than it's worth. Your account should go for at least $600-700, don't let anyone tell you less. You have to know what you are doing when buying / selling these accounts, and only take cash / wires.....people will jack you so quick when it comes to the trade of ebay accounts. Don't sell to anyone in another country, and preferably sell to someone locally (if you can, I haven't had such luck but the one I am selling I did actually buy locally in cash and in person). Ever since I have had it everything has been great, but you really have to be aware of the scum that festers in the ebay account trade.

Got this PM from someone:

Perhaps 6 months ago it was worth that. But eBay has made new policy changes to ebay account that were created before nov 2007. Hence, every eBay account MUST have a Paypal account linked. The days of easily adding a merchant account without having to fax in documentation on accounts made before nov. 2007 are OVER.

Hence, the value of your account has decreased significantly for that reason.

I just bought an account with 600+, DSRs, and the account was made in 2002 for $65. Sorry, but unless you find some newbie, ur never gonna get that again. Should've sold it while its value was high months ago.

Obviously he/she is trying to buy it - any truth to that? I'm in the dark. Either way, I won't be selling it, just curious.

*cough* not true.....

Wow i got a couple of ebay accounts with zero feedback they are buyers accounts and were made before that novemeber 2007 deadline wonder what they are worth?

I would love to buy a couple of aged ones with reviews on them right now!

Hi

I would really like one seller account with more than 100+ feedbacks.

Thanks

Wait for a couple months, eBay is starting to do ban waves of people with "low DSR's" - sellers with a couple thousand items in inventory that pretty much live transaction per transaction, will pay in the high hundreds for eBay accounts to get back on.

Reconsidering selling my eBay account.

Stats:
Over 235 Positive Feedback (100% Positive)
80-85% of these are my own sales within the last year
High DSR

Looking for the right price to budge on this though, but if the deal is reasonable and legitimate, we can work something out.
