Saving for a house with crypto – realistic?

I get it, buddy.

Between keeping it in the bank and putting it in Bitcoin, I prefer to put it in Bitcoin. The value goes up, and that money is mine.

To save, since I have a plan to buy some riverfront land in mind, I prefer not to risk so much and be conservative by putting it in Tether. Got it?

If I'm counting on a certain amount and have a clear goal, I'll go with USDT, but if it's not for something immediate, I'll go with BTC.

EDIT

My friend, I forget to say that.

I wish you all the best.

Good luck in your journey.

May Jesus bless you.
Thank you for your kind words and detailed advice!
Depends on your savings and investment you done in crypto
For now I keep all my money in cryptocurrency, in tether 20
Sounds like you're not trying to save but grow the money using crypto. Just as there's possibility of growing the funds, you should know there's possibility for your coins to lose value. Unless you want to hold stable coins only.
Yes, of course I want not only to save, but also to increase my savings in order to buy a house faster
Realistic but I'd not suggest you invest any money you couldn't afford to lose.
I understand, but I plan to invest most of my savings in cryptocurrency anyway, I am ready to take risks
If you put $100k in bitcoin today and wait 5 to 10 years, you may win the house. Maybe it's the worst advice ever, time will show.

If you have marketing skills though, you can multiply using many methods that are around.
You know, I think you're right, but the amount should be around 1000 already, 100 is too little, but who knows..
I would buy BTC and ETH with 50% money. Remaining, I will invest in some good altcoins like BNB, SOL, AVAX, SUI, LTC, etc. DYOR, though. :D

Always DCA. ;)
Thank you for such a detailed strategy, it is immediately obvious that you are an experienced crypto professional
It’d depend on the starting capital of your investment, if you’re putting in more you can go with safer options like BTC & ETH, which are most likely do to a x2/x3 if you can hold on through the next market cycle.

If you’re planning on gambling your way to purchasing a home by pumping in smaller amounts into low cap alts, I’d say your chances are probably better by simply going to a nearby casino.
I thought about this too, I want to take risks, but not too much, so I'll be really careful
These days it makes more sense to save in BTC or another crypto blue chip for anything since fiat is rapidly becoming worthless due to inflation.
By the way, yes, Bitcoin is now becoming the gold of the modern world.
yes, with crypto having institutional adoption, these next few years are going to be wild. it will be potential for you to maximize your ”savings”/investments. just watch whatever big institution is investing in and use that information wisely. we are on the brink of an alt season, so alt coins will be making a strong rally for getting into profits.
How can I find out the start and end dates of the alt season?
Probably XMR or SOL can do the job.
Thanks for the recommendations, I was considering Solana too, but I plan to invest about 5-10% in it, after all, it is a relatively new cryptocurrency, although promising

No one’s really going to tell you where to put your money—or rather, everyone will tell you something different. Cryptocurrencies and investing in them are way too easy these days, and it all looks like paradise until you realize you’ve messed up where you shouldn’t have.

If you’re going short/medium term, forget investing in anything. You’ll lose, you’ll bail out early out of fear, and you’ll realize it too late.

If I had to name a short-term crypto, it’d be Theta or Arbitrum; and for 4–5 years out, XRP without a doubt.

But this isn’t financial advice—don’t take my word for it. Read the projects’ roadmaps and papers before betting on one.

Crypto can grow fast but it’s also very risky—if your goal is a house in 2–3 years, it might be safer to diversify with more stable investments instead of betting on just 1–2 coins.

Where I am a house costs as low as $150k, so... that's what I was thinking about.
Yes, it really depends on the location, I just wouldn't really want to move somewhere far away because of the cost of housing
I would suggest you buy XRP, DOT
Why did you choose these cryptocurrencies?

Thanks for your tip with XRP, I also lost money on crypto a few years ago, but experience makes us stronger

By the way, yes, but I would still like to invest most of it in two or three cryptocurrencies that will be the most stable, like Bitcoin and Ethereum.

I’m curious if putting money into 1-2 cryptos could realistically help me save for a house in 2-3 years.
Which coins would you bet on for that kind of goal?
Very much possible but depends on how much you adding per month.

I will try to add as much as possible, but I really want to hope that it will also bring profit.

I'm doing 70/30 right now
70% Bitcoin
30% Solana - personally seeing Solana at 800-1000$ / coin

Its a risky play, because frankly, no one knows tomorrow, wether the crypto will appreciate or not. However, if I were to do something like that, XRP would be in my portfolio.

Positive:
1. It's harder to spend money if it's in crypto, so your savings will be better protected from yourself
2. Potentially you're protected from inflation if you put in Bitcoin

Negative:
1. High volatility if you can't wait for Bitcoin to reach ATH before selling.
2. Selling your crypto is a taxable event in a lot of countries

this is very risky strategy it could end up with 0$ but in other hand or if you like risk there is a good amount of crypto that will have a very good future that can double, or even triple your savings.

I like your crypto portfolio! Why don't you add Ethereum to it?

But cryptocurrency has been around for a long time, I think it’s a pretty stable asset now.

I agree with you, partly because of inflation I choose to keep my money in cryptocurrency.

I think at least Bitcoin won't let me end up with 0 dollars. I hope so lol
