Hey guys, I need some advice. I usually post one video a day. But when one of my videos starts trending, I’m not sure what’s best—should I keep posting daily, or wait a day so TikTok can fully push the trending one first?

I feel like if I post the next day, the trending video slows down in views. But I’ve seen competitors post every single day, and both of their videos still blow up with 20M+ views.

Does anyone know how TikTok actually distributes views in this case? (Let’s put content quality aside, cuz my channel gets a lot of views as well, so I don’t think that’s the issue)

Keep posting. If you stop posting, your account will be considered as inactive and your Tiktoks will no longer be trending.

If you get good views on the trending videos you post, typically you should continue to post. Even better, if you continue to post the similar style video that is trending. I wouldn't suggest to repost; but just post videos that are similar and you will get good reach.

You should keep posting to schedule. The trending video will rub off on the new one and give it an additional boost. Nothing wrong with having two or more trending videos.

algo doesn’t cap u to 1 vid, it just tests each piece on diff pools. if u got momentum, posting daily feeds more hooks into the system. only time new post slows old one is if engagement splits hard. better to stack volume, let winners rise.

I think posting daily doesn’t usually hurt a trending video, since TikTok’s algorithm pushes each clip based on its own engagement.

Hey, good question this is something a lot of creators wrestle with, especially when a video starts popping off. Here’s a breakdown of what’s likely happening and how to think about it

Absolutely not! the trending video does not stop you from posting anew video and the believe that a new video might slow down the performance of the trending one is literally false. Continue your posting please

How can I make my TikTok videos trend as quickly as possible?

Keep posting. One viral video does not block the next one.
TikTok pushes videos one by one based on watch time.

From what most creators see, posting another video usually doesn’t actually “kill” a trending one because TikTok distributes videos independently through batches.
If a video is performing well it will keep getting pushed based on watch time and engagement, so staying consistent with your normal posting schedule is usually better than pausing and trying to time the algorithm.

i would maintain the usual posting schedule. the mere fact that there is a new upload does not mean that it steals views from the old one tiktok can continue to suggest both videos if people react to them. in any case, a video that went viral is just the perffect moment to post another one.

I don't think so that your first video is in trending and the next video will hurt the engagement and reach of first video. Tiktok distributes videos individually, so posting a new video regularly doesn't stop automatically the previous video from being pushed. The already trending video will continue gaining views and reach and the new one also tested by the audience. So don't stop post consistent without any hesitation.

I wouldn’t stop posting just because one video is taking off. TikTok says the amount you post doesn’t directly affect how your content is recommended, and each video is evaluated based on its own signals.

Your competitors posting daily and still getting 20M+ is pretty normal. I’d keep your schedule consistent, but if a video is exploding, make the next post closely related so you can ride the same audience interest.

keep posting on your normal schedule. a new upload usually does not stop an older video from being pushed. the best move is to follow the trending post with a related video while people are still visiting your profile
