Reddit acccounts getting banned when i add link to post

Do you warm the accounts before posting the links, and provide a genuine human activity there? If so, for how longer you warm the accounts and what kind of activities are doing (comment, upvote, downvote)?

Yes well wamed, I do comments, I hv no issue adding link to comment but when I try post I get banned immediately

  • Reddit is super strict with new accounts posting links, it often gets flagged as spam.
  • Make sure you’re active in the community before dropping links , karma and post history matter.
  • Some subs auto-remove posts with links to prevent self-promo.
  • Try posting without the link first, then add it in a follow-up comment if allowed.
  • Check the rules of each subreddit, many ban link drops altogether.
  • It might not be you , Reddit’s spam filter is just aggressive with new accounts.
  • Building reputation slowly is the only way around instant bans.

All kind of links, or specific ones (like a custom website or an affiliate one)? When you post a comment with such a link, it is well integrated into the thread's context, or it screams "SPAM"?

All kind
Yh well integrated

I have only tried posting in my profile with two accounts 1000+ karma and about a month old. Both got immediately banned.

Reddit bans happen because new accounts with low karma look like spam when posting links

My reddit accounts keeps getting banned immediately I add a link to a post, I don't know what's wrong
Reddit bans fast because dropping a link looks like spam if the account has no history or karma. The system and mods see it as self-promotion without trust. To fix this, you need to warm up accounts first post genuine comments, upvote, and engage in niche subs for a while before sharing anything. When you finally add a link, wrap it in real context or value instead of making it the focus. On Reddit, reputation comes before promotion build that and your links start surviving.

Exactly small subs are where you build karma and credibility because the community notices real contributions. Once your account has a track record of genuine posts and comments, you can step into larger subs without instantly looking like a marketer. It’s patience and pattern earn trust in the small spaces first, then scale up.

Post in smaller subs first to build trust, big subs ban fast if you look like a marketer

Reddit is extremely ruthless with links especially from fresh accounts. Brand new profiles posting URLs look like spam to mods and the automated filters. Warm the account first before doing promo’s.

what does "a while" mean in this context? A few hours, a few days, a few weeks?

Post in smaller subs first
smaller as in?

Sorry for these questions, guys, but I'm new to Reddit marketing, and I'm considering buying a Reddit account, and I obviously don't want to lose my money within the first few hours, so I need to know the exact specifics of your statements :)

If you're just starting out, I recommend using a single account - whether it's one you've created yourself or purchased. :D Reddit can be tricky to navigate. I create accounts manually, and in my experience, doing too much too soon (like commenting within the first hour) can lead to a shadowban, even if the comment is completely original. I am also new to Reddit. :)

I do intend to get only 1 account, I just don't know how to keep it safe because the last 2 accounts that I tried a few years ago got banned within hours. So, in a sense, I am new to Reddit since I never got to use those accounts...

Anyway, thanks for the tip! Hopefully I will remember it :)

I think so, but I'm not sure...

All I remember is that one of the accounts got banned because I've left my own opinion on a thread about politics in which I blamed everyone for being blinded and brainwashed for believing what I believed to be wrong. So my account got terminated within minutes after my comment got downvoted into oblivion first :D

The other account I don't remember why it got banned...

You should keep out of political section of reddit. Its a good thing BHW don't allow politics over here.I don't love the tribalistic behavior it brings, life is too short.
Look for other threads to put you below the radar of getting banned.

the tribalistic behaviour is brought by politics indeed, but not from the direction that you think it comes from, but from the other direction...

Back then I wasn't using Reddit for money, I just wanted to have a Reddit account just for the sake of having it, but I never expected for Reddit to be such a cesspool of lots of bad things. But now I do :)
