Isn't today's world boring as hell?

I agree with everything you wrote, word for word. I could literally write about this for hours. But I've given up on it now. But I can only add this: Whatever happens, this transformation and development is starting to move at a very rapid pace, and I'm sure it'll explode at some point. We humans came from nature... I'm sure this shit will reset us back to our factory settings at some point!

Everyone watches short videos, reels etc. All day with a smartphone in their hands.

24/7.

And the thing is, those videos are cringe and boring and useless as fuck with all the same visuals, sounds, content, and shitty music mostly.

All the same things all day. I can not believe what is happening to this world.

I used to think we would all have a very developed world and society thanks to the mobile phones with internet connection and 24/7 access to the social media and information so easily. But it only made things worse. No even emotion on those fake things.

Society is so robotic now. Every person around me watches those videos only. And now plus add the AI content and visuals everywhere.
you can look for you friends to chat with and also chatgpt can act like a friend to you

Even i am doing the same thing, wasting my most of the time in stupid reels. ;)
But now i am back to BHW it's become my more time spending here to chat with you guys..

Soon probably internet will be dead completely and we will consume everything in AI by chatting.

I get what you mean—tech has connected us more than ever, but sometimes it feels like it’s made content repetitive and people less present in real life.

People's brain are completely fried and have been reprogrammed. Dopamine receptors are smashed.

Man the 00s were the best...
I agree. There was no time like 1909 and hasn't been any since.
Totally agree. Everything looks and sounds the same now. No originality left just dopamine loops.
Totally. Everything is designed to be addictive and explotative.
Human nature is the same regardless of the technology on top of it.

You COULD have a society like that, but you would need the right leaders to bring out the best in humanity.

Today's leaders only seek profit and power and make slaves of the world.

People are slaves. They are comfortable, but still slaves. Very few are in control of their life. People wake and their day is dictated based on emotion and desire, which is directly controlled by the consumer driven corporate world.
I am glad to see this was said. People need to STOP blaming the individual and start thinking about the systems, deficiencies, inefficiencies, and attitudes that made this sad reality possible. You cannot look at a phenomenon like this wherein people prefer to be numbed and distracted at all times and blame the person. From what are they hiding? We also need to work toward making the world a place in which people actually want to be present.

What you're saying reminds me of that ***** post where it said that the collapse won't happen quick, it's simply gonna happen over years and most people won't even see it happening in front of their own eyes. There will be no "collapse" the way some of these people think of it. It's not going to be like the movie "Dawn of the Dead" or whatever where one day suddenly shit hits the fan and the 50 coming marching down the street."The Hollow Men" by TS Eliot and you'll understand. You'll notice that every day simple things will become a little more expensive. Everyone's homes and apartments start getting smaller. Your work hours will get longer, but your pay will decrease. You'll see family standards for everything, work, food, relationships, etc. Jobs security will no longer exist - a concept. You'll notice houses and apartments shrinking, people will hang on to clothing longer and longer. Less people will get married while never truly experiencing the real world.Whatever dream people used to have about their lives will be gone to be replaced by a distant memory. The only thing left for them will be the reality of their debt and their poverty. And every minute of every day they will be told, "You are stupid, ugly, weak, but together we are free, prosperous, and safe."That is the collapse. The reduction of the American man into a feudal serf, incapable of feeling love or hate, incapable of seeing the pitiful nature of his situation for what it is or recognizing his own self worth.
This is it. There is not going to be a fast and easy nuclear war to exterminate us all without pain and suffering. This is going to be a long, slow decline as it has been for decades already. It will be like being boiled alive, one degree at a time. We will not realise what is happening until it is too late. This decline is 100% related to class, capital, and the economy. There is no seperating the two. This deterioration of culture, social life, and personal development is also inextricable from the socioeconomics behind it all. I am not a doomer saying the world is going to end in 100 years or that there is no point in doing anyting. I am just saying that this is no mystery and has been explored by numerous academics already—the reality is sad. These issues can be resolved, but a (relatively) select few people are simply choosing not to do anything about them.

Life is so easy now and the biggest entertainment in my life is work at my laptop.

True, bro. Instead of fighting the trend, use it smartly unique hooks + trending formats = growth while others just scroll.

We must fight popular culture and trends and bring back the old days, my friend. Those old times, before social media, must come back.

I would love to see that, but I fear that it is too late for that. Social media is too deeply ingrained in society and culture at the moment.

It is imperative that we do not, however, try to revert to any one time in the past as though there were ever any good old days either. This kind of sentiment is one that fascists misappropriate to push their own agendas. What we need to do is work with what we have and implement what measures we can in anticipation of a better future. The past was only good for a certain kind of person. Many minorities and those living in develping or third world countrys may not agree.

90s and early 2000s were the latest humanity age, I feel like it.
