I have some extra business space in the back of my store, closed off area, private, i was wondering what i could do to generate some money from that, some people irl suggested the skill based slot machines, but thats a real technical grey area with possible misdemeanors, i want to make money but i dont want to go to jail, can people give me some suggestions ?

What city in Ohio ? I might be interested in renting an "office space", just to get a google profile set up there

You are right of course, its a pawn shop, and maybe some other financial stuff like money orders bill pay, prepaid cards, things of that nature
I know your business, in general, is capital intensive and I know many pawn shop owners have lines of credit to grow their business.

Do you have an ebay aspect of your business (I know it's like 13% to sell there in fees) as that is fairly common.

Ya you can have 2 at same place ! As long as they arent in same niche of business. What city in ohio

yes, in fact i plan on using Ebay, perhaps Offerup and craigslist as well
Set up a person that knows that world in that room, find bargains, and sell on those platforms.

Pay them a percentage of the profits so the more they sell, the more they make, and, of course, the more you make.

We did that when I was a partner in a retail business. I was not personally involved but I put up the money to start it and that is one thing we did that generated about 38% of the revenue for the store.

Thats a good idea, any advice on how i would go about finding that person ? lots of people think their geniuses on a platform and brag about it, i tend to find that the quiet ones are the real smart ones and arent as loudmouthed
That is going to be a little work, but I'd go to local community colleges and talk to career counselors.

The pool of candidates for that should be be sizable enough for you to have some good options.

You could look into renting it out for small offices, workshops, storage, or even a pop-up shop. That way you can keep it legal and still earn from the extra space.
