Hey guys,

SEO used to be a fun learning experience, I used to take courses, learn from the experts, build websites here and there and test things out. It not only helped me make extra money, but learning it was a fun hobby.

Since the "AI" revolution however, I've lost my motivation.
Google pushes more and more AI content, and we all know it's only going to get worse. Most people don't even click pages anymore, they simply read the "AI Summary".

A lot of the first pages are now also filled with AI sloppy, and paying a writer doesn't seem to be worth it either.

Overall, I've abandoned most of my "SEO Website Ideas" not because they failed, but because I've lost trust in the system and never even tried to build them.

So, where do I go from there? Like, this used to be a nice hobby and now I feel kinda lost of what to study, what to do, where to go and such. This is not a "financial crisis" it's more of a "boredom crisis" or "motivation crisis" so to say. Is there any future for SEO? What is this future now and where can I learn more about it?

Thank you for your attention!

May be it is time for you to switch to AI also. Be one of the first experts in this field and make good money. But if you have seo clients , keep providing them services so as to keep money coming in.

As long as Search Engine is there, SEO is there. We just need to be more smart. Like for now brandmention, entity building is important, Quality SEO still matters for AI overview since google is putting links in the overview. It is true that we might not get enough ctr like we do before but still SEO is a viable medium to get most of the traffic online. Try to be realistic. Dont be bother about pessimist. Try optimistic behavior.

Feeling the same, AI overview killed my projects, will need to adapt.

Yes there is still a future for seo but it is mutating. Google is now more of a curator than a directory . Focus on content AI can’t replace like local, personal experience, niche expertise . Treat seo as experiments build assets beyond google . Aim to be the source ai cites or people seek directly not just rank for clicks
