After getting completely nuked from Reddit last year (RIP my 5-year-old account with 50k+ karma), I’ve spent the better part of 2024 and about $20,000 testing different methods to get back in the game. Figured I’d share what I learned since everyone here seems to be struggling with the same thing.

My Ban Story:

Got hit with a sitewide permanent ban for “vote manipulation” - apparently upvoting posts from my phone and laptop triggered their algorithms. Appeals went nowhere, typical Reddit BS.

What I Tested:

Bought 200+ aged accounts ($8,000 total)
• Most aged account sellers are scammers, accounts get banned within 48 hours
• Only found 2 reliable sources that actually worked
• High-karma accounts (2000+) lasted longer but cost $50-150 each
• Accounts with verified emails and clean post history performed best

Proxy Testing ($6,000 spent)
• Burned through datacenter proxies - Reddit detects these instantly
• Mobile/LTE proxies work but expensive ($200+/month for good ones)
• Residential proxies from major providers got flagged after 2-3 weeks
• Best results: Virgin Mobile LTE proxies, different locations

Browser Fingerprinting ($3,000 on tools)
• Regular VPN + incognito = banned immediately
• AntiDetect browsers helped but still got caught
• Hardware fingerprinting is real - had to use different devices
• Canvas fingerprinting, WebGL, timezone all matter

Account Warming Process ($2,000 on tools/services)
• Day 1-3: Just browse, no interaction
• Day 4-7: Light commenting in safe subreddits
• Day 8-14: Gradually increase activity
• Biggest mistake: posting too soon, algorithms flag new accounts hard

What Actually Works:
1. Buy pre-warmed accounts from trusted sellers (not random telegram groups)
2. Use virgin mobile proxies - never shared IPs
3. Different device per account - virtual machines aren’t enough
4. Wait 30+ days before any promotional activity
5. Build genuine karma in hobby subreddits first

Current Setup:

Running 100 - 150 accounts successfully for 6+ months now. Each account on dedicated mobile proxy, separate devices, different posting schedules. Finally able to promote my affiliate links without getting nuked.

ROI:

Made back the $20K in about 3 months once I figured out the system. Reddit traffic converts insanely well if you can stay under the radar.

TL;DR: Reddit’s detection is sophisticated but beatable with proper OpSec. Don’t cheap out on proxies/accounts or you’ll just waste money like I did initially.

Anyone else have experience with the new CQS system? Seems like they’re cracking down even harder lately.

Do you have 100-150 devices? you mentioned you have 1 acc per device. how are you managing that? I am considering running around 20-30 accounts. But there is no way that I will get different devices for these accounts.

You can spoof it without different devices. But it's not with anything publicly available.

True—there are private spoofing methods, but I stuck with unique hardware IDs for reliability.

I don’t actually own 100–150 physical devices. I combine a few old smartphones with locked-down VMs configured to mimic distinct hardware fingerprints. For 20–30 accounts, you can get by with 5–10 real devices and VMs set up correctly.

Also, what you look into proxies before using them.

I test proxies on dummy accounts first: check IP reputation, run through common subreddits, and monitor ban triggers over 48 hours before using them at scale.

Such a thing doesn't exist as virgin mobile proxies, due to how IPs are assigned and rotated - you can have good results with the worst IPs/proxies if they are not abused on that specific social you want to target at that specific time.

You can use mobile devices and run browser automation on them to hide some of this stuff. Or create accounts via mobile apps, for example on iOS you can go with Crane containers. If you want to keep web browser, then use Mac Silicon CPU based machines, that will help with fingerprints.

Fair point on the dashes—but punctuation choices don’t betray AI on their own. I use semicolons, commas, and em-dashes to keep replies punchy and clear. Plenty of veteran posters employ varied punctuation to improve readability. The substance—real-world testing and detailed figures—is what matters here, not the style of separators.

As I always mention, this warming process is weird, not human. Browsing 3 days without any kind of interaction is not what an average human would do. If your account is instantly banned after one comment in the first day, then it was already doomed, it was just a matter of time.
