Yeah for sure. I know a few people still doing well with niche blogs using traffic from Pinterest, email, and Reddit. Google helps but it’s not everything anymore. You just need to find what fits your niche.

Yes very much dead. Now, there are big authority sites covering range of keywords in every broad niche. They have eaten all small websites.

Nothings permanent. Those same big sites can be purchased by ChatGPT or something - those big sites might go paid with their content, so many possibilities that can bring back the old style micro niche blogging back.

There's still plenty of niche blogs still ranking for something or the other, so one should keep at it rather than give up.

Best example of have a niche blog and get high traffic is Tim Ferriss blog. Hos blog is not death or got an EEAT drop in SEO hit.
Another one is Seths blog (Seth Godin) his blog domain site has a lot of multiple serp listings (seo experts telling you this is bad uuuggghhhh....) in google page 1+2 stunning!

However, in my daily Googling I'm still running across many niche blogs ranking well for long tail keywords.

I agree that this is a very small sample size when you compare my personal Googling to the many billions of searches per day they receive.

But, even if Google traffic is down across the board for these types of sites...
