Does META Ads actually works for Services type business?

I see that many people have had a large number of customers after running ads for a short time.

Hi Folks,

After multiple tests and experiment attempts with hired Pros and by myself I decided to give up on google ads as it was just a cash burner for service type business ads - all we had for last 3 months is just scam, spam call, no actual leads; Multiple tickets been raised by google and they even admitted on their replies that we are being charged incorrectly (surprise).

Now I am studying META Ads, but before rolling them and burning cash willing to ask your opinion - what is your general experience? Does it worth it? What strategies you would recommend?

What I am afraid - that META Ads can be oversaturated- there is lots of leads “resellers” and who dealing just with advertising (without providing actual services to end clients).

What your thoughts on this?
I hear you @MolotovCoctail it’s frustrating when platforms like Google Ads don’t deliver. META can work, but it depends on your approach. We’ve seen clients succeed with service-based ads by using **verified agency accounts** that are optimized for performance and stability. These accounts come with a dedicated manager to help refine targeting and scaling strategies.

META isn’t oversaturated if you focus on precise audience segmentation, retargeting warm leads, and A/B testing creatives. The key is avoiding generic campaigns—stand out by offering value upfront. If you’re worried about "lead resellers," geo-targeting and interest-based filters can help weed them out. Let me know if you want tips on setting this up effectively!

Need a clear strategy because the market is highly competitive. Priorities: precise targeting, attractive content, conversion optimization; avoid mass campaigns. Focus on building a brand and using retargeting to increase lead quality. If done correctly, it is still more beneficial than Google Ads for the service.

Meta Ads can work for service-based businesses, but the key is solid targeting, trust-building creatives, and proper funnel setup. If you're only getting junk leads, it’s likely the audience or offer needs refining. Definitely test small before scaling.

After testing this for couple weeks, tweaking budget and etc. I don’t think is good tool for service type business.. Any tool will work well in CERTAIN market conditions. If market is weak - you just will waste your money. PERIOD. I am getting average lead cost around 13-15 per lead, but this doesn’t mean anything, because 80% leads are actually time wasters..

Depends on niche, but Meta ads have a solid conversion rate if you set up your ads to the correct audience.

Service advertising can be effective if done correctly, focusing on trust and optimizing lead filtering. Use pre-qualification forms, clear calls to action, and remarketing to reduce spam. While competition is high, differentiating your message and targeting the right audience can yield steady returns. Invest in content creation and a solid conversion system, not just ad spending.

Unlike e-commerce, you sell trust first. If you target the right audience and have a good customer care process, Meta Ads can still be very profitable for the service industry.

Meta Ads can work for service-based businesses, but targeting and funnel setup are key. Avoid broad audiences - focus on re-targeting, lookalikes, and lead form optimisation. Yes, it’s saturated, so having a solid offer and follow-up system is essential.

We already doing this suggested audience + email list file uploads (from existing clients). During my experiments I managed to get 3-4 leads based on 15 budget, I am continuously tweaking and now ramping campaign to 50 (daily budget) and planning to ramp it to 200 if this works well. How long for meta algs it takes to learn? realistically?

Yes, Meta Ads can work well for service-based businesses — especially if you target the right audience and have a clear value offer. Local services, online consulting, and niche solutions often perform well with proper setup and testing.

Yes! Meta Ads work for service businesses if you have a tight funnel and clear goals. Focus on valuable content (short videos, tutorials), local targeting, and close tracking to sort out leads from spam.

maybe your reach is going in the wrong direction. you can re-understand your product's target and reset your reach

Yes, definitely they do. They help generate leads for service type business. My brother also use matters promote his service business.

yah, for Google, there are many agencies that provide full-service packages, but META is not because it is too broad. Honestly, Mark is too ambitious and takes over too many social media platforms, and few small and medium-sized agencies can handle all of them
Not to mention the constant account bans that make the supply source have to have a separate market
With my experience, META ads can really bring conversions, and I am also a regular customer who buys from Facebook and IG ads. The ads and products are attractive enough to make me close the deal

Meta Ads can work well for service-type businesses, but the key is precise targeting, proper funnel setup, and clear messaging. We've seen solid lead generation in niches like SaaS, legal, and home improvement , but running direct-to-booking usually doesn’t perform well anymore. Pre-qualifying leads has improved conversion rates a lot.

META Ads will introduce you to customers who are interested in the services you provide, if you target carefully and take advantage of remarketing. What specific services are you advertising, I can share more experience about optimizing for that industry

I am also having the problem you are talking about, the current business service is almost unprofitable, the cost of the account is very high compared to last July, the service fee is getting lower, the service quality is being improved better

Yes, Meta Ads work well for service-based businesses if you target the right audience and use strong creatives. Local services, consulting, and appointments often see good results.

Facebook advertising can be a great way to monetize your content, but you need to have a solid plan and be willing to invest time, effort, and budget to get good results.
