I responded to this BHW Sales thread, inquiring about review services for my GMB,
Proof the other party has been informed of this Dispute Resolution:
Summary of Dispute:
I Ordered $500 worth of services, seller provide $2700+ the next day, Extorting me with negative reviews unless I paid. I paid. I asked to stop working and delivering reviews, in which they would provide more and demand payment or negative reviews. This extortion went on for over a week at a loss of almost $4000 , the all the reviews disappeared and the seller would not replace them without me paying for additional services. When I refused he slammed my business with negatives "to destroy your business"

What you hope to gain from this Dispute Resolution:
At the very least I would like him to update the negatives to positive 5 Stars (all of them)
At the most to refund some if not all the money considering all my listings are now in worse shape, possibly shadowbanned and are lower in stars and reviews than when we started.

Dispute Submission: Request for Refund and Resolution Against Seller Writingman1421 for Extortion and Non-Delivery of Services
To the Esteemed Moderators of Black Hat World,
I, Kilterman, hereby submit this formal dispute against the seller known as Writingman1421, operating on Black Hat World (BHW), for egregious violations of fair business practices, including extortion, non-delivery of promised services, and retaliatory actions that have caused significant harm to my business. I respectfully request a full or partial refund of the approximately $3,350-$4,000 paid to Writingman1421, as well as intervention to halt his ongoing harassment and unauthorized posting of fake 1-star reviews. Below, I present the facts of the case, supported by evidence from our WhatsApp communications, to demonstrate that I have been victimized by extortion and deceptive practices.
Background and Initial Agreement
On or about June 15, 2025, I engaged WritingMan1421 through BHW to provide SEO services, specifically the posting of online reviews to enhance my business’s Google Business listings. The agreed-upon order was for $500 worth of review-posting services, which I paid in good faith. This amount was intended to cover a specific scope of work, as is customary in such transactions on BHW. However, the very next day, Writingman1421 demanded an additional $2,700, claiming it was owed for work already performed, and threatened to “destroy my business with 1-star reviews” if I did not comply immediately (see WhatsApp chat, June 16, 2025, 4:47:26 PM, where I reference his extortionate behavior). This sudden escalation from a $500 order to a $2,700 bill, coupled with threats, marked the beginning of a pattern of coercive and unethical conduct.
Pattern of Extortion and Coercion
Over the subsequent weeks, writingman1421 subjected me to relentless demands for daily payments, often for work I did not authorize. For instance, on June 21, 2025, he claimed I owed $585 for 42 normal and 11 local guides reviews, despite my explicit request to pause new work due to financial constraints
(June 21, 5:42:22 PM: “Brother we were supposed to pause new work”). When I informed him I could not pay until Monday, June 23, 2025, he threatened to post 1-star reviews across my business listings (June 22, 10:50:26 AM: “I will change all reviews 1 star”; June 22, 10:59:37 AM: “I will post 1 star review daily basis your business”). These threats were not idle; Writingman1421 followed through by posting numerous fake 1-star and 3-star reviews, which have lowered my listings’ ratings and jeopardized my business’s reputation (June 22, 12:06:31 PM: “Lost 5 and Rating lower”; June 22, 12:47:20 PM: “These 3 star reviews are hurting me”).
This extortionate behavior persisted despite my attempts to reason with Writingman1421 and request proof of work. I paid approximately $3,350-$4,000 over two weeks, often under duress to avoid retaliatory reviews (June 19, 7:13:24 PM: “Close to $4,000USD”; June 20, 10:46:42 AM: Al Abbas confirms $3,350 received). These payments far exceed the value of the services delivered, as detailed below.
Non-Delivery and Substandard Services
The core of Writingman1421 service was to post “sticky” reviews that would enhance my Google Business listings’ visibility and rankings. However, the majority of reviews were filtered or removed by Google, rendering the service ineffective. For example, on June 19, 2025, I noted that 32 of 58 claimed reviews had filtered, equating to 90 reviews that should have been warrantied and replaced (June 19, 7:17:56 AM). On June 22, 2025, I observed a significant drop in reviews, such as the Laguna Beach listing falling from 125 to 65 reviews (June 22, 10:43:33 AM). A Google spreadsheet provided by Writingman1421 on June 19, 2025, was initially blank (June 19, 7:31:35 PM), and even when populated, it logged only 77 reviews by June 19, 8:08:04 PM—far fewer than the hundreds claimed.
At Writingman1421 stated rates of $10 per normal review and $15 per local guides review, 77 reviews would cost $770-$1,155, yet I paid $3,350-$4,000. This discrepancy indicates either gross overcharging or failure to deliver the promised reviews. Furthermore, Writingman1421 practice of posting 1-star and 3-star reviews to “stick” before updating them to 5-star reviews (June 20, 7:04:00 PM) lowered my listings’ ratings, causing direct harm to my business (June 22, 12:09:45 PM: “A lot of the listings are lower ratings, with less reviews than when we started”).
Financial and Reputational Harm
The financial burden of WritingMan1421 demands was unsustainable. As a small business owner, I often earned less daily than his invoices, yet I paid nearly half my income to avoid his threats (June 20, 9:58:59 AM: “I’ve given you almost half the money I made”). Despite these payments, my business saw no improvement in rankings or customer inquiries, and many listings are now worse off due to filtered reviews and lower ratings (June 22, 12:24:12 PM: “A lot of the listings look exactly the same if not worse after giving you thousands of dollars”).
The retaliatory 1-star and 3-star reviews posted by Al Abbas, particularly after I ceased payments on June 22, 2025, have caused tangible reputational damage. These extortion attempts violate BHW’s standards of conduct, as they were posted maliciously to coerce payment rather than reflect genuine customer experiences.
Attempts at Resolution
I made every effort to resolve this matter amicably. I repeatedly requested Writingman1421 to pause work (e.g., June 18, 1:45:04 PM: “Please stop work. I cannot afford this”; June 21, 6:29:39 PM: “Please don’t until I know how much I can afford”) and provide proof of delivered reviews (June 19, 7:20:36 PM: “Proof please that I have received the work”). When these requests were ignored or met with further demands, I proposed involving BHW moderators to mediate (June 19, 7:11:19 PM; June 22, 10:52:28 AM). Writingman1421 refusal to respect my requests and his continued threats necessitated this formal dispute.
Request for Relief
Based on the foregoing, I respectfully request the following relief:
I entered this transaction in good faith, seeking to enhance my business through legitimate SEO services. Instead, I became a victim of WritingMan1421 extortionate tactics, which began with a $500 order ballooning to a $2,700 demand overnight and continued with daily threats to destroy my business with fake 1-star reviews. Despite paying thousands of dollars, I received substandard, ineffective services that have left my business worse off. Al Abbas’s actions not only breached our agreement but also violated the principles of fair dealing upheld by BHW.
I trust that the moderators will review this evidence and grant the requested relief to rectify the harm caused and protect the BHW community from such predatory behavior. I am prepared to provide additional documentation or participate in mediation to ensure a just outcome. Thank you for your attention to this urgent matter.
Respectfully submitted,
Kilterman

Request for Relief
Based on the foregoing, I respectfully request the following relief:
- Full or Partial Refund: A refund of the $3,350-$4,000 paid to Al Abbas, or a substantial portion thereof, to compensate for non-delivered services, overcharging, and damages caused by his actions. The initial $500 order was fulfilled, if at all, by a fraction of the claimed reviews, and subsequent payments were made under extortionate pressure.
- Cessation of Retaliatory Actions: An order for WritingMan1421 to cease posting fake reviews, including 1-star and 3-star reviews, on my business listings, and to remove any such reviews already posted.
- Sanctions Against WritingMan1421: Appropriate disciplinary action, such as suspension or banning from BHW, to prevent further harm to other users. His threats and unethical practices violate BHW’s code of conduct and undermine the platform’s integrity.
- Mediation or Review: If necessary, a mediated review of the evidence, including the WhatsApp chat log, payment screenshots, and Google spreadsheet, to ensure a fair resolution.
- WhatsApp Chat Log: A comprehensive record of communications from June 16 to June 22, 2025, documenting WritingMan1421 demands, threats, and admissions of posting lower-star reviews (e.g., June 22, 10:50:26 AM; June 20, 7:04:49 PM).
- Payment Screenshots: Evidence of payments sent via Wise to WritingMan1421, totaling approximately $3,350-$4,000 (e.g., June 17, 4:33:14 PM; June 20, 7:27:01 PM).
- Google Spreadsheet: A link provided by WritingMan1421 (June 20, 10:46:07 AM) showing only 77 reviews, many of which were filtered, against claims of hundreds posted.
- Screenshots of Listings: Images showing reduced review counts and lower ratings due to filtered and fake reviews (e.g., June 22, 12:06:16 PM; June 22, 12:47:02 PM).
