I'm having trouble setting up my YOUTOBE live stream.

Hi,
I recently started live streaming on one of my youtube channels, I created a description and title optimized for SEO, I also added viewers using the dashboard. But I still can't rank my stream. I see a lot of my competitors ranking with 1k viewers but only 100 people chatting in their chat box so I suspect most of them are fake viewers, but they are ranking very well. Am I missing a step or something in the ranking?
