Is Google removing LinkedIn articles from search?

Yes, I’ve noticed the same thing recently. A few LinkedIn articles I knew were ranking well suddenly vanished from Google search, even when searching exact titles. It does seem like Google has either deindexed a bunch of LinkedIn content or significantly reduced its visibility in search results.
It could be a temporary change or part of a broader algorithm update affecting third-party platforms. Google has been prioritizing content from original sources more lately, so that might be a factor too. Definitely curious if this is widespread or just selective

Has anyone else noticed that LinkedIn articles are disappearing from Google search? I’ve recently checked a few that used to rank and now they’re nowhere to be found — not even indexed anymore.

Is Google deindexing LinkedIn posts? Or is this just a temporary thing?

Anyone else seeing the same issue? Just trying to figure out what’s going on.
About 3-6 months ago, Google gave high priority to LinkedIn and Medium posts. But nowadays, we’re not seeing that. We’re getting less traffic from LinkedIn posts to our website than we did before.

Now have you found out any alternative? or any suggestions ?

No, I’m still trying to post on LinkedIn. Can’t say for sure, but it might give good results in the near future. I’m also posting on other social media platforms and trying to drive traffic to our website through Bing, Yahoo, and DuckDuckGo alongside Google.

Thank you so much. If you can share some media where you post and what strategy you follow, it will be helpful for us.

No, Google is not removing LinkedIn articles from search results. LinkedIn articles are indexed by Google and can appear in search results, especially when optimized with relevant keywords and SEO-friendly titles. However, occasional indexing issues may occur due to technical factors like duplicate content or URL variations. For instance, in May 2020, LinkedIn was temporarily deindexed from Google due to a misconfiguration but was quickly restored.

Posting on Pinterest and Quora works well for me. I’m also getting traffic to my website by writing articles on LinkedIn and Medium.

If your website is 6 months or older and you post in bulk daily, it can work well by joining Bing Webmaster if you’re struggling to gain traffic from Google. By indexing all posts with Rank Math Instant Indexing and optimizing your site speed, you can achieve good results. You’ll also get traffic from Yahoo, DuckDuckGo, and other search engines, including Bing.

Set up the Google Cloud Console API with the "Instant Indexing for Google" plugin. All posts will be indexed immediately. How many posts do you publish per day on your website?

Yes, you’re not the only one who has noticed that LinkedIn articles are disappearing from Google search results or appearing to be de-indexed. SEOs and content creators have been reporting this issue, especially in 2025, which is in line with the general trend in Google’s indexing behavior.

Yes, LinkedIn articles used to rank well on Google, but many users now report drops in visibility or deindexing. This could be due to:

  • Google filtering low-quality or "parasite" content
  • LinkedIn adding temporary "noindex" tags
  • Crawling issues on LinkedIn's end
You can improve indexing by:
  1. Sharing your article externally
  2. Using LinkedIn’s SEO tools
  3. Checking with site:linkedin.com in Google

It’s still possible to rank, but results are inconsistent in 2025.

Yeah, noticed the same. A bunch of LinkedIn posts that used to rank are gone now. Could be Google devaluing low-engagement web 2.0 content or LinkedIn tweaking visibility settings. Feels more like a silent update than a bug.

So far, not many of my Linkedin articles are removed from the search, but they aren't ranking much.

Are your Linkedin articles written by AI? Are they totally unique - like unique in ideas or simply re-written?

Yes, many users have noticed LinkedIn articles disappearing from Google search.

Google Algorithm Changes: Articles seen as low-value might be deprioritized or deindexed.
Technical Issues: LinkedIn may be adding "noindex" tags to some posts.
Google Indexing Practices: Google might quietly remove certain content from its index.

Yes, Google has started removing most LinkedIn articles from its search results. This change is part of Google’s ongoing efforts to reduce low-quality or repetitive content. LinkedIn articles were often seen as duplicate or thin content, leading Google to prioritize more original and authoritative sources in search rankings.
