If your Facebook ads are active but your results are missing the mark, the issue might not be with your ad.
It's with what happens after the ad.
Most campaigns fail not beacuse of poor targeting, but because the funnel is not built to convert.

previous years everyone's results were still good, because this year AI intervened in the review so advertising is very difficult.

True, AI moderation has made ads stricter - but even now, a well-built funnel can still outperform a weak one. Its not just getting approved, its about converting after the click.

Facts. Most people focus only on the ad, but the actual problem is what happens after the click. The funnel needs just as much attention.

Enabling the Advantages+Campaign option mostly lends to the fake leads.
I keep it turned off with Audience Network. If these get turned on, it is just a mess.
I follow the traditional targeting options (manual detailed targeting by keeping these two options disabled).
Also, I go with the manual placements, which work well for me.

If you are running an awareness campaign, then these options are good to go.

What works for you?

Ads that don’t generate sales aren’t always due to poor targeting or content. Many campaigns run well, have good CTRs, low click prices… but still can’t close because the funnel behind them is too weak. Traffic comes in but the page loads slowly, the layout is confusing, the call-to-action is vague, or the offer is unclear, users will leave immediately. Ads are just the first step – if the system behind them isn’t convincing enough, can’t lead to behavior, then no matter how good the traffic is, it will be difficult to convert. If you want to scale sustainably, don’t just optimize ads, audit the entire channel.

No matter how well your Facebook ads perform, if the results aren’t what you expected, the core problem is often the stage after the user clicks on the ad. Most campaigns fail not because of poor targeting, but because the conversion funnel isn’t optimized to turn interested people into actual customers.

Same here, the new options are trash

True! Learned this the hard way and spent most of my 1st month tinkering and tweaking.

I really appreciate what you shared but I think it is only partly true.

yes. Fanpage is also an important thing to bring good conversion

The post and the fanpage used to advertise is important, because recently when i run the ads, fb always deleting the post of the weak fanpage. After i deleted and launch the ads again, they keep removing it so the fanpage is important one too.

5 common “empty” variables in the conversion process:
Problem solving phase Common How to fix
️ Landing page Slow loading, not mobile friendly, unclear CTA speed Optimize (under 3s), use heatmap to test
Form/Cart Too many steps, not reputable, not secure Shorten the shortened form, add trust factors such as reviews, security icons
Messenger/Inbox Not responding quickly, poor consulting, no tracking Using chatbots, sales training, automation
UX / Flow Unclear, no reason to buy now Scarcity, urgency, limited promotion
Tracking No pixel, missing event tracking pixel Fully attach pixel, set up event conversion & CAPI

Setting budgets too low can also limit ad impressions and reach, preventing the campaign from gaining high value traffic

I think most of it comes from content that doesn't convince customers.

Even if your Facebook ads are perform, if the results are not what you expected, the problem core in the stage after the user clicks on the ad. Most campaigns fail because the conversion funnel is not optimized to turn interested people into actual customers.

Can you be more detailed?
Sure. A good funnel just means everything after the ad works well. The page should load fast, match what the ad promised, and make it easy for people to understand and take action. Simple layout, clear message, and trust signs (like reviews) help a lot. Even if AI makes ads harder, what happens after the click still matters most.
