Are you still using MNF ?

I'm just wondering if you guys are still using MNF, or if you find more success with MS.

I have both, but I just like the ease of MNF.

I've heard people talking about how the SOC on MNF is a problem. I'm not quite sure what that problem is.

Thought I'd check to see what the current thoughts are.

If the soc works it is great. But over the last few months there have been times where google has blocked the soc. This has happened twice that I know of in the last 6 months. The way I use MNF is for batch processing, so when I do my research I use the info I gather for a few months.

Yeah it is working now. Getting your hands dirty is good, only problem is google often gives you false info for competition. Google will often say there are a few million competing pages, but if you display a 100 pages at a time and you click to see page 10, it will only go to page 4 and there are only really 342 competiting pages. The soc is great because it quickly identifies the false competition info google is giving out.

i like MNF but a month or so ago it started making me do a captcha for every freakin SOC it gave me, i did the update that MNF suggested but it still does it, any advice? i love it for KW's though, highly recommend it, its just extremely slow if its asking for captchas for every SOC lol

I just tried it today and Yes. The captchas stuff is very annoying and I find myself get google blocked frequently.

It also need much time to check the competition result. MS fit better for me

The SOC rating is sometimes difficult to assess. I look for anything under 50 as a good niche and then sometimes when I check that keyword with another program, the top 3 spots are impossible to get to, but the front page of google is attainable.

I think if you want top 3 spot, then you need to filter to SOC under 25, otherwise SOC 25-50 is probably ok to get somewhere on first page without too much difficulty.

SOC calculation in MNF doesn't include Top 10 BLP, Top 10 PR, TOP 10 ONPAGE Optimization...it only include inanchor, intitle and inurl...is it reliable ?

Yep, still use MNF, very handy tool indeed. Before I reg any keyword though, I always manually check Google just to see what kind of sites I'm competing with.

Thanks everyone.

I get a totally different keyword list when using MNF than when using MS, even if I import the MNF keyword list.

Just wanted to make sure that everyone still considered MNF a worthwhile tool.
