A lot of people feel that G has devalued web 2.0 links to some extent. Are you still doing link wheels and are they working for your?

IF not what is a good substitute for natural link building??

I am considering building them wit senuke. I am also considering link farm evolution as it will work with MU!

Thanks

just leave seo nuke..and link wheels because you will not find any ip diversity in this method..

I have made a 100 percent automate Blog commenting php script and I want to share it with you all for free. This script is 100 percent free.
Instructions for use.
1.Extract commenter.zip
2.It will contain 3 files (adresslist.txt, autocommenter.php and main.html)
3.Put the blogs list in adresslist.txt, Please put one link in one line.
4.Upload it to your server, Please put the commenter folder in public_html
5.Now you have finished, Its time to do some commenting

Please let me know if you find any difficulty. Please don't forget to thanks.
One more thing, I have lists of thousands of blogs if any one of you want that please ask me.. I will send it to you directly..

cu...(NOT)

Link wheels are working for me... I added a new article on one of my site and made a link wheel... with in 1 day it got indexed by 2nd day it was on 9th rank... It's almost a week and i am on 6th rank... Today i also got 1st sale on it... So it works no doubt about it... About ranking it's rare happen like this and it can go down... Anyway even if go down it will come back again with better rank... :)

Pure link wheels don't work well. The ones that are more chaotic do. It is all about patterns and footprints. Check the thread titled Long Term Experiment - The "Foolproof" Linkwheel

Link wheeling works ONLY if the individual spokes are INDEXED. It does no good if the spokes are not indexed which means you have to build links or some sort of social bookmarking to the spokes which have to be varied. Get each spoke indexed then wait a while make it look natural to goog. Yes I created a linkwheel a few days ago on a site very competitive terms and went from 12 to 10 but ONLY after the POSTS were indexed.

I get so tired of the link wheel debate. It's not the link wheel concept, but the crap some people build their LWs with. If you put cheap gas in a Ferrari, eventually it will break down.

Agreed. You have got to use all original content for the first tier then at least 60-70% spun content for the 2nd tier in my experience. How about you whats working for you rocket?

Link wheels are still working but not like old days... It was said from starting that if you want best result then get good and unique content on your spokes... I saw foolproof link wheel thread and I am planning to follow that with little tweaking of my own... Hopefully soon I will be able to see some result...

Yes thats the if you can write well, learn. If you still can't outsource it.

If you use Link wheels for you link building campain, you are in the wrong way. Link wheels are for ranking your web2.0 page for long tail keywords.

Will Linkwheels work if I do the following

1.Put up a 100% unique article for each of the 10/15 web 2.0 pages

2.If I dont close the wheel at the end, thus making an open wheel

I mean if I link each web 2.0 property to the main money site and to the next web 2.0 page EXCEPT the last one, then the wheel remains open

will this work?

3.Pinging and bookmarking each of the web 2.0 pages

If I do all the three things mentioned above, then the linkwheel will work or are linkwheels not working at all:(:(

Do suggest some other methods and strategies that can be put to Linkwheels so they can be made more effective

thanks
Ankur

Ankur - it doesn't matter how good the wheel is if it is not indexed. If any spoke which is a critical spoke is not indexed it won't mean a damn.

Once all the spokes are indexed (2 - 4 weeks) then add another 2-4 weeks for results from it (unless you are doing things to speed this up)

Thanks for the reply buddy

I would request you to please tell what do you mean by "critical" spoke

I think all the spokes are more or less equally important

Moreover, the pages will get indexed if they are pinged and bookmarked

Please correct me if I am wrong or am I missing something?

If I am trying to speed things up, then what can be done?

thanks

link wheels are old now, need to find new method

Hi

thanks for the reply people

May be I am a noob but could you please explain what exactly is wrong with a linkwheel

what is the reason that they worked fine before and now they are not effective

Have they been detected by google

Is there a way in which we can make them look natural

thanks

Just my opinion, but, there is no magic in a link wheel and there never was.
It's just another way of creating a six-way (or whatever) link scheme.

Why all the hype? Because before the link wheel craze began, people had
mostly given up with the reciprocal and 3-way linking. They were boring.
Link schemes sorta died out. Article marketing, etc got more popular. The
Web 2.0 term was coined.

Then came the link wheel. A 4, 5, or 6 way circular link scheme created
for the benefit of ONE SITE. Previous link schemes, the recip and the 3-way,
benefited multiple sites; usually multiple webmasters. Everyone got all
excited and started a whole new "link gathering" efforts. They worked then
because link gathering works. They still work because link gathering still
works. If you feel that link wheels are not as effective now, that is probably
only due to the fact that so many webmasters are doing more and more
link gathering; but they call the particular type of links "a link wheel". Also
keep in mind, that, at about the same time, xrumer came on the scene,
and more recently scrapebox.

So, you see. EVERYONE is doing more and more link gathering.

imo,
Bompa

Hi

Thanks for the reply buddy

but the question still remains unanswered as to why are Linkwheels not effective as before?

Just because many people started doing it

or has Google detected it?

Is there some way in which they can be made to look natural?

thanks
