Anyone using free hosting for his blogs?

Github Pages is free but mainly for static sites, no PHP or databases like WP needs. Good for small projects, portfolios, or basic HTML blogs.
If you plan to scale or need dynamic content, better move to cheap paid hosting as soon as possible.

well the plan i have its the smalest one and i didnt have any problem with storage ,space etc so far .You have also other plans and i think its better to go to the site and see plans what they offer on each etc

Free hosting has limitations, and to rank your pages at top positions, you need hosting with less downtime. Do not take that kind of risk with your website. You can start with shared hosting at initial stages.

I used free hosting for Ghost a few months ago, we used it to test a few things related to migration so it worked for us but it brought a limitation - we were not allowed to customize the template and use the API.

Using free hosting can get you a long way with the right tools, but im afraid that it might not rank high enough for people to see or for it to even be considered by google. there's also the problem about the site crashing unexpectedly.

How is ranking depended on whether the hosting is free or paid?

I'd prefer to pay the cheapest shared hosting instead of using a free one, it's safer and you could avoid future problems.

I have never used free hosting for my blogs. I believe there are always some loopholes by these free hosting companies.
