Is not all cases that need root, if you want to build a proxy farm sure you need a device to add multiple sim cards, but for a small operation you dont need none of that, just 1 sim card per phone (if you can) cause is expensive, if you can’t buy sim cards for some reason a simple free vpn with a good script to change servers is enough. Phone farm is not that complicated but is hard to find information online, you need to test and see what works and what doesn’t

And the ability to change IMEI, etc is almost impossible on black box modems found in phones. Also your photo seems way over complicated to what you could do? What's happens when you want to scale? You keep buying phones or move to the box you should have started with? Speaking as someone who has 5000+ active sims at any given time

You dont need to install extra socket, you can buy a usb hub with 30 ports so with 2 outlets you can power all 60 phones, the photo i sent is how the phone changes ip, i just need to start it and leave and the phone will change ip every 6hours and i dont need to do anything else

Change imei is good to able to do but is not really necessary Depending on what your doing

I payed less than £10 per phone, if i where to buy this box your talking about i would spend twice if not triple

I got my ROI in less than a month
im not saying is easy to do
But depeding on what your gonna do you dont need a lot of things and you only gonna know what you need if you go through a lot of trial and error

My advice is, start with 10 phones to test the waters

Phone proxy farms ok, you need all that when scaling but for less than 60 phones you dont really need all that, if you are a beginner you just need to learn what you gonna do first so when you scale up is easier, if you go straight to the box is going to be expensive

If you just wanna learn about phone farm and want to start doing something 10 phones is enough to test a lot of things

Im not saying you are wrong cause you aren’t when scaling up a phone farm it can get complicated but the beginning doesnt have to be

I dont know what you do but ill make an educated guess that you run a proxy service for the amount of sim cards, i do social media
So for me i dont need anything you mentioned just internet a vpn thats it

Some of methods of making money with a phone farm don’t require as much as others

Hi guys, i got a phone farm with about 50 phones.

Im having trouble managing the ip on each phone, any one have any suggestion on how to manage the network and how can I have rotating ip for each phone?? sim cards are too expensive for the amout of data I use.

Switching of the router will give new IP each time. But you need feature of dynamic IP in your broadband plan. It is default in some plans but if it is not by default , you can ask for one.

If plans in your local country are too expensive I suggest contacting B2B IoT providers directly and getting a custom plan via them. Did the job for us

It's a stupid idea... It's like fucking inception.
The main advantage of using a phone over a modem is that you can run Android or iPhone applications—whatever you want, and you can automate them.
The best option is to have a rooted phone, but it's not necessary.
A simple app for reverse proxy would let you connect the phone to your main server. You only need to expose the ports you want, which makes it easy to identify each phone and forward requests from the server as needed.

Managing IPs at that scale is pretty complicated. One affordable route is using a USB dongle setup with a Raspberry Pi or Android device running a script to reconnect and rotate the IP every few minutes.

If your work or website or app support ipv6 just buy a digital ocean and make ipv6 proxy 500-1k with each vps reverse to vps ip and different ports so you have alot of proxies to nanage

Iproxy API could be a good option for you as well my brother, if you have access to unlimited data options in your phone service provider over there in UK. In the API of iproxy you can set up a rotation in the ip at a set time

This is insanely profitable! Honestly, usually such sweet deals are offered by MVNOs -- meaning not major "real" mobile providers (MNOs) that actually own the towers, but small secondary operators. These MVNOs rent part of the tower capacity and part of that tower IP pool from MNOs. And this pool will always be heavily limited! This could be related to your rotation problems. Plus these plans often have actual speed restrictions.
We usually don't recommend our users deal with MVNOs, especially if phones for proxy farming will be massively located in one spot.

That's an excellent idea -- if you can find a couple of locations (like at friends' houses) near the tower, then even the MVNO option might be acceptable.

I noticed you mentioned not seeing economic feasibility in selling proxies since your income mainly comes from other non-proxy phones. But just in case, I'll emphasize that if you do decide to sell excess proxies, it'll be important to store all IP history and logs in general for longer than just a few days. Sorry if this is obvious, but I often see people who don't pay enough attention to their security when starting this activity, so I always try to mention it. Especially since you seem like someone who doesn't use ready-made solutions/services (where the service handles logging for you) but builds their.
