Faking device information is a way to create a completely new working environment, preventing websites from detecting that you’re creating an account on an old device. Here are the most common methods to fake device specs on mobile and PC.

1. On Mobile
For mobile devices, using emulators and Boxphone is the most common method. These tools allow users to change system specs like device name, hardware info, etc.
This is especially useful for managing multiple accounts on platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and more.

2. On PC
If you’re on a PC/laptop, you have more options to change device information:

2.1. Browser extensions
These extensiosn allow user to change browser fingerprint like User-agent, block WebRTC.
  • Pros: Free, easy to use and install
  • Cons: These extensions can only fake a few browser fingerprint details, so basically, they can only bypass simple sites or be used for basic web browsing.
2.2. Virtual machines (VPS, VMWare,...)
This is a common method. There are many providers on the market.
  • Pros: As the same when using a real computer.
  • Cons: The installation size of the tool is large. It's normal for a virtual machine to take up around 60GB. Also, virtual machines do not have graphics cards, so when websites collect WebGL data, they might detect that you're using a virtual machine.
2.3. Antidetect browser
Antidetect browsers can solve the disadvantages of the two methods above:
  • Deeply fake browser fingerprint details
  • Require less installation space
  • Support downloads on multiple operating systems (Windows, MacOS, Linux)
  • Provide many useful features for work: Share/transfer profiles, automation, synchronization, proxy management, member management, etc.
Do you know any other methods to fake device specifications? Feel free to share below.

VM will be detected by pafish on github.

Yep, I also mentioned that VM is easier to be detected by website. Currently antidetect browser + proxy is still the best combo to manage multiple accounts.

Has the device with your IP address been used before to register or manage an eBay account? Was that account suspended, or is it still working fine? If not, you can create an account on your own device with your IP. I don’t know where to buy accounts. I only provide tools to create a clean environment for registration and warm up new accounts.

Thank you for the information, i find this useful in my opinon. And i'll defintely keep this thread in mind. I've had to do the whole changing browser agent thing a couple times here and there, just for some websites to work for me.

It's fustrating when getting messages like "your browser is not supported" or something similiar. And usually i can get through by using a custom user agent.

Sadly, lately emulators are completely useless for social media accounts
