Now the average earning span of a website has reduced a lot thanks to lot of google updates and other factors. Is there any scope left for sote flipping? Can someone rely completely on site flipping business for his bread and butter in 2025 ?

Definitely not dead. Just don’t rely on google as your main traffic source. I’ve had sites sell that use social traffic as its main income source

On websites like Flippa, there are lots of sites that are on sale. But depending on just Google for traffic source and creating a content site is risky. People are jumping onto other stuff, like selling of SAAS, YouTube channel.

When you browse Flippa, most listings tend to fall into two main categories: genuinely profitable websites and what I’d call "garbage" sites. The latter often feel like borderline scams—someone builds up a niche just enough to make it look appealing, then flips it for a quick profit without real long-term value.

I find most of garbage sites only there. May be the higher priced confidential listings have good value but I never could check those.

Site flipping isn’t dead, but it requires diversifying traffic sources and avoiding over-reliance on Google. With the right strategy, it can still be profitable in 2025.

Yes, still there is scope for site flipping. Even though the earning span has reduced, if you have a good strategy and unique content, you can still make money from flipping websites. It's all about staying updated with the latest trends and being creative with your approach. Keep trying and you may find success in site flipping.

no its not dead. i see sites getting sold every other day for crazy amounts
Does not mean that those sales finally convert. Most of the times winning bid maker does not respond at all.

It is dead for "dead" website, if website is still in "ICU", even we are ready to buy it to make Flipping - of course after looking at the website and price :)

Not dead but tons of scams. If you are seller or buyer, go for saas businesses. They cost a lot of money but good for long term business.

Sites that relied on ad revenue from Google and organic traffic have seen a drastic drop in valuation, but site flipping is still around.

Especially if you have a funnel, an info product, a saas or other sources of traffic.
Today, people aren't just selling websites. They are selling entire businesses made out of their online presence.

You can still buy and sell any website you want. But Google is little bit down now so pick them wisely.

Site flipping is not dead, but it's definitely more challenging in 2025. Google algorithm volatility (especially helpful content updates) has made organic traffic less predictable. AI-generated content has flooded the web, making quality and originality more critical.
And also Buyers are more cautious—they want solid traffic sources, stable earnings, and real value, not just pretty sites.

Is there some demand for AI created sites as well?
