This method is so simple it feels like cheating.

I started manually digging through subreddits related to the niches I target — think very niche ones like, r/SleepApnea, r/PetAdvice. Instead of just looking at hot posts, I filtered for "new" and scrolled way back. I was looking for posts that never got traction, ideally with zero comments but still showing in Google’s index.

You’d be surprised how many of these “orphan” posts still rank for long-tail keywords.

Once I found one, I dropped a natural, helpful reply — nothing spammy. Just value. A small story. A product I “tried.” And at the bottom: a link to a parasite site or a Google Doc breakdown disguised as a resource.

The trick is to make it read like a reply from a normal user. Something like:

“Used this after my dog started slipping on the hardwood. Took a while to find one that actually worked. Left a breakdown here if it helps.”

[Insert link to cloaked parasite or Google-hosted doc with affiliate link slipped in]

That’s it.

The Reddit post gets revived. Google recrawls it. It starts ranking higher. And now my comment sits right there — in a post no one else touched — funneling clicks to my offer.

I’ve done this 30+ times now. Some still get ignored. But others sit quietly, generating clicks and trust without me doing anything else.

Best part? There’s zero competition because no one bothers replying to dead posts. So when you're the only answer, people feel inclined to try it out.

This is an approach that not only works in Reddit - forum platforms pretty often have 'unanswered threads' listings. A little bot to pick out relevant keywords in thread titles and save the urls for later access would be something that most people would be able to code with chatbot help nowadays.

Yep, that’s normal — the gold isn’t in spamming every Reddit post. It’s in knowing which ones to hijack before they get locked.

A lot of the posts ranking in Google are 2–5 years old, yeah. Some are locked. Some get mod attention. Doesn’t matter.

You only need one comment to stick to siphon traffic for weeks. I’ve had parasite links sit on threads that were ranking on Page 1 and pulling clicks daily — all from a single comment buried mid-discussion.

The key is:

• Target newer posts that are starting to climb in Google
• Drop casual sounding comments (no links at first if needed)
• Revisit later and edit the comment with a cloaked link once it’s aged in

It’s about slipping in once and owning the SERP leak quietly.
