So I just bought the Standard subscription for $119.

It says it can run 6 concurrent processes per time, but I can only get 4 started... the others are listed as "queued"?

And I readded new tasks, deleted old... its just not going up to 6?!

Okay, wow, it is starting!

But the scraping is so slow!

It's forced to use their "cloud" to run scraping and it's so extremely slow.

The issue arises because Octoparse Standard defaults tasks to cloud-based execution rather than local, which explains both queued tasks and significant slowness. To greatly improve your scraping speed, configure your tasks for local execution instead of cloud. Also, consider using mobile proxies if you're increasing threads, as they significantly reduce the likelihood of blocks and usually improve extraction speed by bypassing typical IP-based limitations.

Thanks ChatGPT. Yeah, no kidding, but octoparse cntact scraping must be done through their cloud and can't be run locally.

If you need speed, self-hosted scrapers with rotating proxies are the way to go.
