I do online sales and cryptocurrency trading
Because each country will have different number formats. So I will temporarily take the format: 1.000,909 in this post
The scammer will use fake telegram to message me to buy my service.
He will ask many days before making a decision to buy.
When he transfers money, for example: my product costs $100.
He will transfer $4,899 and he will reply with a screenshot of the transaction: "oh I transferred the wrong amount and can you refund it to me"
When checking if you don't look closely you will see that $4,899 means $4,8 instead of $4.899
The scammer is even more sophisticated when taking a token called Tethor US.. (U SDT)
At first glance it looks very similar to USDT because it has the same symbol but is a bit smaller. He will transfer $4.899 with that token. So that the victim doesn't look closely and only checks the . and ,
This article is not aimed at anyone. Just a warning to help you avoid scammers. Hope admin approves the article.

Still the scammer need your “Tethor USDT” address to send you the payment.

In the screenshot is clear that both wallet address are different so if the scammer send the token Tethor instead Tether to your Tether USDT TRC20 the money won’t arrive that’s how crypto works.

In addition, before making a transfer, the Wallet usually warns you that if you send the money to a different wallet or a different network you will lose your money. It is not something even possible, they assure you that you will lose it for sure which means that the scammer can send the money but you will not receive it. In fact, you will not receive a notification either.

So it seems interesting to me how the scammer was able to send money from Tethor to your Tether wallet and even so you receive the transfer.
