Everyone is complaining about excessive use of AI content on Pinterest and it is attracting different publications to start complaining about the issue, this would lead to one thing and one thing alone; purging of the platform. It may be something similar to Google's helpful content update.

My recommendation is; ton down your use of AI pin generators. I don't use them, and I don't recommend them. I recommend manually creating your pin designs with canva.

We will see, some of my accounts got hit. But they do not have the best content in terms of images and even the blog contnet, since some of the sites are quite old..

But you can never go wrong with doing things manually

If we're being honest, sites get hit and drop impressions momentarily irrespective of their content quality. I'm thinking if they start taking actions against AI content, they may remove some entire(I hope not).

Recently on Twitter, I saw guys claiming Pinterest now marks certain pins as AI, though I haven't come across any yet.

AI spam is destroying most social media platforms...people want to make money from it, they spam the shit out of the platform and we just have access to low quality content, it's just depressing

I think people are abusing AI to the point where it's going to become harder for people like myself who actually use it responsibly to leverage it within my business practices.

Yes, that is my fear. Excessive use of AI content in the form of articles and even pins could lead to what you just described. Remember we had something similar with Google; helpful content update. Even though it wasn't helpful at all.

yeah spammers are taking the money and opportunities from other and they will complain for sure this is why when someone find a new method a few months later stops working because everyone is going all in trying to make as much money in a few days, rinse and repeat.

Pinterest spamming started with TikTok and Instagram reels when people started downloading those videos in mass and uploading to pinterest
Now they are also spamming with AI

Pinterest has become a spamming garbage

As far as I understand the IPTC can be edited.

The use of AI nowadays on other social media platforms is really annoying. I see some posts and i think to myself “most people are not racking their head anymore”. We are being too dependent on AI tbh.

If Pinterest starts marking AI generated pins, that’s a good way to stop lazy creators from messing around. I miss those days when quality and organic contents were made.

But itself isn't a good solution. If users say they don't like AI content, it does it matter who the content?

but but isn't kinda difficult to post supe rhigh quality non AI generated pictures? A lot friends still Pinterest for inspiration at work
