Doesn't invest in Reddit and never will log in again.

Boy who could've ever seen that one coming...

I hope they change their business model and start being more flexible to stay alive and keep being abused by us ;)

Reddit is going bankrupt. For obvious reasons too. The moderation system is absolute trash.

Even if you build a 100% absolutely squeaky clean subreddit, they can take it away from you once you grow. I know of several cases. It's rotten, much worse than late stage dmoz

So they FAFOd and Reddit is now dying. Down 50%, then probably down further soon.

Reddit's recent changes have caused frustration, especially with moderation and API policies. This has led to a decline in engagement, and its future depends on how they address these issues.

"Though it's stock price is still up 200% from its IPO in March of 2024" it's far from dying lmao.

reddit never made money, or turned a profit, it was only meant for spez and his cohorts to dump thier stocks.

yea thier increased and aggressive filtering of accounts, has reduced engagement significantly. somewhat like half of reddits comments are bots anyways, mostly propaganda type bots, but you get the picture. additionally posts by AI has been on the rise as well.

after huffman and his c-suites dump thier stocks last year, reddit has been declining for quite a while.

they were banning real human users, rather than just bots.

We are making money and making money from Reddit. It would be a real shame if it were to be destroyed. Learning and making money from other apps would take a lot of time and be highly competitive.

Much of the growth has been coming from logged out users - which is mainly google traffic. I am hoping that it drops rapidly and Reddit is forced to look at just how ridiculous they have made it to post and even ask genuine questions with a new account!

Reddit is only good if you're trying to find answer for super niche questions. The homepage is what gives me heartburn. Too much left wing propaganda being shoved 24/7. This is the case with almost every sub. It was good 7 years ago. After that it's so hard to NOT get US politics shoved down the throat every 3 posts.

it may look left, but they have been allowing significant astroturfing from right wing trolls, plus they will ban any criticism against right wingers now. especially now that musk is pressuring moderation against criticism of him and trump. so its been the reverse ever since. just look at which comments are being banned over right wingers. just look at how huffman have been dying to emulate musk.
Also its not the reason why reddit is going to sht, its because reddit went public and huffman already sold off his stocks, and hes just squeezing any last ounce of money from the site, selling it off or monetizing the subs. In order to do that , the significant purges have to occur to sanatize the site, hence the intense banning. alos it has been shown that most social media right now caters to RIGHT WING traffic, because they are addicted to controversial topics.
yea they only want people to visit the site and leave, and have been eliminating newly created accounts quite easily and quickly, even for normal users.
