Dead internet theory?

Tons of bots everywhere, no doubt.
This theory connects to (or amplified by) the human quality of feeling you're the 1% that is different.

You're all bots and I'm the only human.

Never heared about this theory until now, but I can understand why people believe it.

Lol reading that article, its like its a conspiracy or something, but when its a plain fact. Otherwise your shared hosing wouldn't need upgrading to vps! thanks to hacker bots, marketing bots :D

Interesting theory! I first heard about it not long ago, and to be honest, it seems quite convincing. Especially when you think about how many automated accounts and bots are actively working online. It's hard to say if it's 100% true, but it definitely makes you think about the reality of virtual interactions.

Tons of bots everywhere, and the belief that you're the only real human is amplified by the idea that you're part of the 1% that's different. It’s easy to see why some might believe this theory.

Back in the years, when we checked the online members on forums and communities like BHW, WickedFire, etc., its was like 1300 Active Members and 869 Bots. I don't know if it still exists.

Do you believe in the dead internet theory?

I do in fact think that a very significant amount of internet interactions are robots. We at BHW probably know this better than any other group.

When did you first hear about the dead internet theory?

Yeah, a lot of internet activity is definitely automated—bots, AI-generated content, engagement farms, you name it. Marketers and growth hackers know this better than most. The theory exaggerates some things, but the core idea isn’t far off.

Not sure how much of the content google gives is fake but I know much of twitter and facebook is bot generated content by various states.

I’ve always loved the phrase “the internet is not real”. The internet makes you think everyone is an extremist and the world is ending tomorrow. When if you actually get off the internet and go and meet people you realise most people are reasonable and 99% the same as you.

The Internet has existed and helped us humans a lot. I'm afraid that in the future AI will develop rapidly and the Internet will be erased, that would be sad. But if it happens, I think it will be very difficult because it is related to the policies and laws of each country.

bots have existed for decades. its part of the internet as much as human interaction. they co-exist. there are good and bad bots and sure it gets more and more, but that doesnt make the internet a dead place for humans. especially since social media and smart phones came up.. that kinda destroyed the good old internet though, as too many n00bs came to ruin everything lol

I have the theory that we all have a twin known or unknown . Are you @roydan ‘s twin?

Oh, and we have post compatibility there. Nature is awesome.

Edit : Internet is awesome.

I don't believe its a theory
it's for sure real.
Look at all the social media bots alone, scrappers, botnets are just a few...
Heck, majority of us are the root of this problem.
