Site Overview:

  • Main Homepage: Covers massage concepts, service descriptions, user reviews, blog section, and FAQs (approx. 4000 words).
  • Local Pages: 10 major city pages, e.g., London Massage, Manchester Massage, etc.
  • Goal: Rank each local massage page in Google SERP through local SEO.

Questions:

  1. Should I use all H1~H6 tags, or is it fine to stop at H3? (Currently, only H3 is used.)
  2. Should meta title (max 60 chars) and meta description (max 160 chars) be fully utilized for better ranking?
  3. Is it better to structure the URL slug like myurl.com/london-massage to match the keyword?
  4. Should I use internal links from local pages to the main homepage to pass link juice?
  5. Is outbound linking necessary for SEO?

Additionally, if there are more advanced on-page SEO tips to maximize ranking, please share.
(I have already read all posts by splishsplash, so please avoid recommending them. Looking for new insights.)

1. H1 to H3 is enough.
2. No need for it, but only keyword in title makes no sense, so make it like real title by utilizing character length left. Meta description is not necessary.
3.yes
4.yes
5.only if it's relevant otherwise not necessary.

Any more tips for on-page SEO?

As I understand it, you need to rank locally for all 10 local pages, right? To achieve this, you should optimize each page for local SEO. For example, using a URL structure like myurl.com/london-massage to match the target keyword.

Since you're targeting local searches, optimizing your Google My Business (GMB) is crucial. When users search for local keywords, GMB listings are often the first thing that appears. So, ensuring your GMB is fully optimized is essential for better visibility.

Meta title and description should always be optimized. Use the full character limit but make sure the title stays natural and compelling.

Answer for your questions

  1. H1-H4 will be the best.
  2. Write compelling meta titles and Meta description.
  3. URL will be like your keyword.
  4. Main homepage link will be the best for ineding on the google or others seacrch engine.
  5. Outbound linking is the necessary for SEO. Use Do-follow outbound link. Avoid no-follow links.
  6. After completing On-Page SEO Index on google, bing then start doing Off-page SEO.

I cant share some insights about you with local SEO. Try to speak to the local population? Maybe there's something which is on their mind if it's location?

For example putting up a competitors anylyses. Why would people choose ur massage over lucie's at the corner? Maybe it's a price difference so show them the price difference.

How?

Again that's something you could do very obvious or maybe not. For example let's say ur 44 dollars and hes 66. U could say on ur page ur the cheapest or u could really show it off.

Hope that helped :)

And with showing if I mean u let make a table .. and if ur not the cheapest u can even do it vice versa. another example would be maybe ur the closest. Another massage salon is 10 KM away. So u speak tot he neighbourhood! So it's not so much about being technical either as being LOCAL :)
