Years ago google went crazy with business listings, you can publish just about any business page so long as it's an address you can confirm with via post card.
Girlfriends and I had a great idea, we had GMB "store fronts" as homes, and some related copies of it going like Gaby's Nails, Lisa's Great Nails.
Would you call this a little bit of a black hat because it was entirely against the rules to have anything duplicated? Yet, even today, there are active businesses that have their GMB as a home, or some alley. Then now and last year, they've been on a spree of banning such businesses, even if it's actually a genuine let's say home-based tax accounting business.
The greatest thing from all of this was GMB was the only free and cost effective, we literally spent $0, we just needed to sometimes have people post their nails done to that GMB page and I guess people searching from google maps would get to our GMB and proceed to go to our landing page. This really helped super small businesses like mine.
But now they're on a suspension spree, removing anything not tagged any legitimate big concrete office building. How do you even recover or replace something like this?
