The $500/month is not actually listing your method alone.

It also includes email ads (3 times) a month.

I think that's why they set the price so high.

I don't actually know about their legitimacy though cause I have never bought anything from that site.

I only receive newsletters from them about new method launch.

If you have a quality product to sell and your reputation to protect, I don't think buysellmethods.com would be a good option for you.
There are negative reviews and complaints about them and their products everywhere on the internet (even some could be found on this website) and that may go a long way to affect your product' sales.
Based on my experience with buysellmethods.com, I doubt if you will make any reasonable sale to cover your monthly listing fees.
