I have seen a lot of people getting scammed by imposters over the years and it always happens the same way - people somehow end up communicating on an external communication platform such as telegram or skype and whilst they assume they are dealing with a specific seller from blackhatworld, it often turns out they are in fact dealing with an imposter.
This can happen for a variety of reasons but typically it happens when the buyer either searches for the user manually on the external platform (and inadvertently adds the wrong contact) or someone proporting to be the seller gets in touch with the buyer directly via the external platform.
Because of this easy confusion, it has become very common for scammers to take advantage and I even had it myself recently - when I posted a thread in the hire a freelancer sub-forum I suddenly get a message on Telegram from a suposed member of blackhatworld but in fact when I pressed them for details of their account, they did not even have one.
So how can you avoid these imposter scams?
Well its very easy and something I do whenever I transact on blackhatworld:

Well its very easy and something I do whenever I transact on blackhatworld:
- Preferably you should communicate directly on blackhatworld with the seller via direct message (https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/how-to-send-direct-message.1666148/)
- Sometimes its better to have a real time conversation on a platform such as Telegram. If you feel this is more suitable then do the following -
- Make contact via Telegram (Ideally by clicking on an actual link from the seller and on blackhatworld).
- When you have added the seller on Telegram (Or similar platform) ask them to send you a direct message on blackhatworld to verify its actually them.
- Reply to that direct message yourself as well; that way you also give the other party the same peace of mind.
