Tag or @username

So I have repost page and post other users' pics
I wonder if it's better to tag them (by adding a username tag to the pic), or add @username in the description. Or both?
To 1. avoid any legal/copyright issues, 2. boost views and make post more visible (if username tags matter here, at all)

Yes, both, or you just say something along the lines: DM for credits/removal

either or should work but at the end is not a free card to get out of jail if they can still copyright you, so be careful.

There's no need to do both, just tag them in the captions like this :
