When are you going to start SEOing your website?

DirectoryBot and Robosoft. It took me an hour just to enter captchas. For profile links, they are outsourced.

UPDATE: my site got slapped by google from page 2 to page 11. This happened half a day later after the software directory submission. This might be a google dance...:marchmell.....sigh. I guess this is better than being sandboxed.

Interesting approach Ive subscribed to your thread. When are you going to start the monetization? How are you planning to approach potential advertisers?

As these are advertisers that already advertise alot on ppc and the like, im going to approach the ones that are currently lower in the search engines and offer them banners and posts on my site.

I will approach them by email at first, the prices i plan to ask is change for them.

When are you going to start SEOing your website?

Thats a good question, im looking into it, i got SEO plugin installed, but it doesnt seem to work on all area's, going to look into that

Thanks for the support, thanks and comments sofar guys!

Update: Site back up to page #2 aftering bookmark, rss and pinging 20 PR5+ backlinks.;)

Good luck, I'm doing the same currently, running some SeNuke right now actually.

I wish you all the luck, subbed btw.

Waarom gebruik je een nederlandse domein naam, zijn daar redenen voor? Ik denk dat een .com makkelijker ranked..

//

Why do you use a dutch domain name, doesn't a .com rank much more easy?

Great Thread. I've subscribed to it.

You might want to improve your on page seo a bit
- change your permalinks to %postname%
- remove the meta widget
- remove the wordpress development blog etc from the blogroll..

Hope this helps.

Site is on the front page of google now. Will add more backlinks to push it to top 5 and hopefully top 3. =)

Subscribing!! Just let us know how it goes with this and probably i would start doing offline marketing in my area :D

small update

not much gain on my keywords, they are still basically hovering on the first page, 4-10th spot, 2nd page, and 10th page

will update the SEO later today

I actually am receiving a few SE visitors now, about 5-10 per day

My site is on the 5th spot now getting 1 or 2 visitors daily. Im going to add another 150 links to boost the ranking to make it easier to pitch the offer. Lets see how this goes.

How are you "adding" links so easily!?

300 blog comments are added and 150 profiles links are almost complete. Hopefully, this will boost the SERP ranking.

Just made my first cold call to a clinic and the owner was not available. I was asked for my contact info and I gave it to them. However, the gatekeeper asked what I was calling for and I responded with "advertising opportunity on google". She immediately changed her tone of voice with disinterest and replied that the owner may or may not call back. I'm guessing she's not even going to tell the owner about my call.

If I had to do it again, I would probably give an excuse to the gatekeeper to get the owner to return the call. If I really want them as a client, I may entice them by offering the service free for a period of time to prove that the site actually works.

Overall, I'm not too concerned about my first failed attempt. I've got daily hot leads of 2 - 3 visitors and I want to refer them to a clinic right away instead of having the visitors reading a lame story/article on my website with no real value.

On a side note, I've made a call to another clinic, but apparently, no one answered the phone.

What do you think how many of those 2 -3 would convert? I am not sure whether the free trial would be very good.

I've made a post on the estimated conversion. Since BHW was having issues yesterday, a number of posts were deleted.

Here is it again:

2 visitors x 30 days x 33% conversion rate x $1000 service charge = $19800/month

33% conversion may be high, but even at half of that, the clinic receives about $10000 revenue per month for a lump sum payment of about $400 or $500 per month.

The listing will not be shared due to the limited number of clinics offering the service and as a result, the clinic will get ALL the lead.

Free Trial is just a strategy to get them to sign up. I'm just starting out and getting clients and testimonials is more important at this point then trying to milk them right off the bat. The testimonials will be much more useful and valuable in the long term to acquire additional clients than just using sale pitch alone. There are risks that they may not sign up after the free trial, but this happens to any business that offers it.

For my next move, I will be visiting another local clinic and show them what I got in person.

Seems like you're doing very well, just one thing. 33% conversion is insane. Even 10% is insane for a 'normal' business. I would say even 5% is optimistic.

I will be doing well when I get my first client. :D

Assuming even 5% conversion, the clinic books 0.05 * 2 * 30 * 1000 = $3000 in revenue just by spending $500. My job is to give them leads by having visitors ring their clinic. I don't have much control whether they will actually convert or not, but at least the clinic will gain more visibility which is the entire point of advertising on the front page of google in the first place.

Update: I've just sent an email to the clinic I've just got rejected by. In the content, I've place the text similar to the script I wanted to use for the phone calls as well as included a screenshot of the "Last Search Terms" in Statpress. I did all I can to let them know about this hot opportunity and if they decide not to respond, its their loss and Ill just move on to another clinic.

Sounds sensible to me. You could also let them know that if they don't take it, their competitors will...! And then who's laughing!
