Hi all,
I had started a Facebook group long ago along with my page which is very active. The group was not active but eventually it started attracting a lot of members who are now posting their work/business sales posts. I would have just let it run on its own if that was possible. Women come together, post their business offerings, respond to each other - good for them! But the group is bursting with activity and it takes a lot of time to keep approving posts and members, look after reported content, delete spammy posts and ban members.
On top of that, Facebook keeps telling me that they removed “my posts” because it was spammy. They are posts made by members of course. Then Facebook gives me a warning as well. I have used the Facebook assist features to reject posts with words like “jobs”, “hiring”, “vacancy” etc. but the spammers know how to bypass that.
To make a long story short, I was just wondering if it is even worth it to maintain this group. There is no way to monetize it. Facebook doesn’t allow you to. I don’t wish to spend my efforts doing anything that isn’t going to pay me.
Should I just close the group? Or can I sell it (not a straightforward way to do that as well, last I checked), or is there some other way to make it worth it? I just wanted to check with you all before taking any decision.
