that's why I said "A BIT better than all other browsers". I am aware that nothing's perfect, but we should always choose the lesser of 2 evils, don't you think?
Def, your choice, everyone has different perferences
I'm not ok with it. If you're happy being r*ped in public, that's your problem... or fetish I guess
Sure, turns me on
I can't see the connection between market share and privacy, mind explaining what you mean?
As a site owner, i'm sure you also collect data on your visitors right?
I can tell you right now that about 80% of BHW users on desktop atleast uses Chrome according to my stats.
@RoiBox said it himself "his stats"
Ad are everywhere, on all sites, everyone has stat trackers, cookies etc.
ad vendors like google etc build profiles from the anonymous data collected.
YOUR profile is much easier to match to you as a person compared to someone who uses Chrome.
Just think of it in an office setting.
A team of 50,000 vs a team of 5
Given a profile on all workers
you are going have an easier time matching those 5 to the 5 profiles you received as opposed to the 50k
so back to browsers and marketshare
the more people using the browser with the same settings and what not
the easier it is for you to blend in
in other words, aligns with fingerprinting,
either way
Brave is a good browser
I have used it for extensive periods of time
but the company rubs me the wrong way
if you are comfortable with scamming your userbase, I don't trust you period.
Trust is hard to build but its super easy to shatter and they shattered it years ago for me
