Authoritative Affiliate Website or Niche Website -- Which is Better ?

I want to build an affiliate website and I am considering either making it an authoritative website or a niche website.
The structure for the authoritative website will be website/niche/product for example http://www.example.com/crypto/binanceReview. The niche will be added as a category

I will appreciate it if i can get your insight on this.

niche sites can be authoritative too, so your statement (authoritative website or a niche website) is not accurate, I think you meant niche website or general website (general websites - in the context of affiliate sites - usually cover a lot of topics / niches / categories).

So, I assume you mean niche website or general website, in which case I would suggest you choose niche website because it's easier to manage and allows you to build topical authority, which is important....

in absence of more details, your example looks OK at a first glance.

If you'll give us more details (which industries you wish to cover, whether or not you intend to sell physical products from your site or keep it as blog only, etc) we might be able to suggest better configurations for your site....
