Trying Tumblr Again...

Some ideas / Roadmap (not necessarily in this order & not guaranteed):
- Account Creator
- Getting better/more content (both SFW & NSFW)
- Defer the scraping part to dedicated scraper scripts. So some of my scripts can be faster / less heavy / complex (thinking on possible future multi-account scripts).
- Create a pool of messages and Rotating them for the poster / commenter.
- Creating a SFW / NSFW lander with CPM ads as publisher so just visiting the link can rack some pennies... (I'm thinking on Exoclick, MoneTag (that is the publishers portal from propellerAds), AdPort, EvaDav etc

Good research, I would only add that the majority of Tumblr users use smartphone

I don't smoke. Nor drink alcohol.
I'm well aware of the tumblr situation after them banning the pr0n.
but yeah, It still exists.
I'm giving it a try cause I started to see NSFW content there again and feeling that is being more tolerated.
I even saw > 2 months old posts with pussy close ups and their account remains unbanned.

This is for today only with one account
Countries could be worse... (and also a bit better)

And that account only has 44 notes and 19 followers ATM ( 35 hits, 19 clicks, 0 conversions ) that is normal, because traffic is very low.

I've used Tumblr in the past, to spam affiliate links. Using 20 to 30 accounts simultaneously. With my own, custom coded bots. Making ~$10 a day.
It was highly frustrating. And hard to maintain. Keeping it up. Required me so much effort. And then see you're affected by the banwaves of Tumblr where all your accounts are automatically, and mercilessly BANNED. Gone for good.
So I ended quitting when, after a few tries, I saw I was not driving traffic anymore. Things changed.

This summarizes it all, quite well, my past experience with Tumblr, I think.

But I think I recently learned something important about being undetected as bot.
So I wanted to put it to test. And I Know Tumblr pretty well. It's like my Playground. Thus, I'm creating a new bot.

The Poster, Follower, and Liker are done.
The Commenter and reblogger are 0% done.

ATM I'm using a single account.

For me, one of the most frustrating things of starting a Tumblr account is seeing your "Activity" graph, plain, saying that there's no activity at all.
Fortunately, I got my first follower today.

So I'm not completely invisible. That's a good sign.

I registered the account just a few days ago. An I know it takes Tumblr some time to give you visibility.

Tumblr has some limits.
- 250 Original Posts a day that resets at 00:00 ET / 6:00AM CET IIRC
- 2000 Likes a day In theory, though I got limited on after 1000. So I'll assume it's 1000 for me.
- 200 Follows a day, with a hard cap of 5000.

I'm posting NSFW, with some tags, and without links by now.
I have scraped ~50.000 images that I'm randomly posting.
Those images are not explicitly pornographic. Boobs / Butt seems ok... but not pussies / not dicks (or your posts will be flagged).

For monetizing... I think I could link to an static page on cloudflare with display ads as publisher (RPM) and pub subs or I could use smartlinks from idk trafficcompany, los pollos etc...

But ATM I just want to keep posting, following, liking. At some point coding the commenter and reblogger. And see how tumblr behaves. What's the response in terms of visibility of my account, If I get followers / likes / comments ( notes )

Question for you since you know coding: How hard would it be to code such a thing for Instagram, Facebook, X, and TikTok all and for use with an Antidetect browser such as AdsPower? Or does something like this exist already? To where you can just "load" the program into any (or select) Antidetect browser(s) and have easy GUI ways to tell it to do X number of likes, etc.?

Something that allows you to automate likes, comments, views, follows, unfollows, posting, etc. for all the platforms from an Antidetect browser?

As a bonus something that also allows you to set parameters to ignore or target certain profiles? (For example, telling the program to only interact with Facebook profiles if they have "Female" listed as gender and their birth year is under or over a certain year, etc.)

If you DID make something like this, would it be a one-time only thing or would you have to update it every so often?

I only used anti-detect browsers once in my life. I think it was dolphin. And that was long time ago.
My experience was that it was slow to set up and on the other hand the free plan had no API access....

I'm currently unemployed and I don't have any source of income. This is why I'm not using paid services like AdsPower.
They give you 100 profiles for $21.60 (paid annually, so $259.20 a year) or $36 a month paid monthly.
IMO definitely it's worth it if you already have an strategy that can bring conversions (If you know what you're doing).
You would still need to wire it all... Those services are basically managed Playwright / Puppeter instances. So non-coders can do what coders do with playwright or puppeteer.
They facilitate you the fingerprint hidding and the ability to modify the browser parameters. Plus they offer RPA / API so you can granularly build the logic of your automation, this way if you just want to target female... Well you would still depend on if the site itself let you filter that or sort. But basically they offer you gui tools to automate the browser...

If I finally learned to be hidden, and look unique, genuine, consistent etc... I prefer to setup it myself. IF not... I think I would give those services a try when I'm employed again. But I would still test my method without paying first. At least I would test if I can get conversions.

You would be somehow conditioned by what the specific site allows...
Tumblr allows you to filter the search results ie. So it can be easier to make a bot with those anti-detect browsers with the logic you want.
But they basically give you the primitives... click, focus, type text, drag and drop, get value from an element, conditionals, then u decide what you wanna do... your desired workflow.

Same, would depend on the site. If the site never changes, you could do it once. A good practice for this is to avoid relying on implementation details (like targeting an element by it's css class) and automate on what's rendered output for the user.

ATM I only used one account. But the idea is to scale, and go for a Churn & Burn strategy.... (So If I really end doing it, I expect High Burst followed by Banwaves)
I think I need to consider... if I scrape, how much data I am able to scrape.... And I mean, 1000, 100.000, 1.000.000, 10.000.000 records ? And how fast can I scrape those. And if this is viable while scaling.
I mean, if you scale to ie. 30 accounts, and you like 1000 posts a day.... That is doing 30K likes a day haha, so your process must be optimal.

Also, Can I scrape tumblr while logged out ? (I think so)

Concretely that account has three posts in total. Only 3 hardcore s3x posts. All from November. The link in the posts doesn't properly work. > 2500 notes, > 750 notes and > 250 notes the last post.

I think that I'm already monetizing it (I'm using smartlinks). And that I just need more volume & some luck. Is a numbers game. Statistics.
The main problem is that I'm only using one account. And it's unrealistic, or very lucky to make money with just one account.
Another thing is if it's smart to blindly put smartlinks in tumblr posts or comments. Would that convert ? Every how ? 1% with luck ?
I made a comment about this before.
I could switch to a SFW or NSFW lander where I use CPM Ads instead, or push subs. Specially with push subs or a rev-share model. I think I could do more in the long end.

But Is something I'm not focusing at this moment. I don't care about monetization atm. I'm using links basically to see if they ban me.
Now I'm thinking about improving my processes.
That's why I talked about scraping data and rn I'm thinking about refactoring some of my scripts to use concurrency either by using worker_threads or promise.all
Although it's currently working and I've done more than 760 likes today. Paradoxically I dislike how my liker currently work. I will probably rewrite it.
