Warning about Abelohost.com - Deceptive to fraudulent behavior

Dear community, I would like to take this opportunity to expressly warn you about the provider Abelohost.com and describe my experience.

I registered with the provider a few days ago and immediately ordered a domain and paid for it straight away - via Bitcoin.

I then received a message in my account asking me to specify the purpose for which I would use the domain.
Until then, the domain would not be activated. The domain I bought is shown as blocked in my account.
The domain name is a name related to gambling, which should also be the subject of the website. Like Pokergame.com or Blackjack.net.
According to the provider's published acceptable use policy, these are not prohibited.

I explained this and then they suddenly asked for a copy of my identity card.

Then they kept asking for a copy of my ID and refused to both unlock the domain and refund my money.

For me, this is a very clear case of fraud.
I have never experienced being asked for my ID when reserving a domain.
And this provider even explicitly advertises privacy protection.

They are still keeping my money today, that's the current state of affairs.

I feel really cheated because this is not the behavior of a provider who writes in the first sentences of his website “All our offshore web hosting solutions are guaranteed with total privacy and data security. Your data is protected with us.”
The <title> tag of the website reads: “Offshore Hosting | Trusted Offshore Host”

As I said for a gambling related website. The domain name is like Pokergame.com or Blackjack.net.
The fact that they immediately block everything does not speak in favor of this provider.
As I said, the provider explicitly advertises privacy and has nothing negative to say about such sites in its Acceptable Use Policy.

I have never been asked for my ID by a hoster, not even with normal hosters.

They have now simply ripped off my 90$. Because I don't send them my ID. Even if you don't want to remain anonymous, this is a security risk in itself spreading his id anywhere on the Internet.

Asking for a refund give's a outright refusal?.
They can't add condition's later.I hate when that happens.
If you can't or not willing to send in id they should refund you.
Of course if they already registered the domain and are blocking it now its complicated.
Not sure about the specific tld if they should be able to delete within a specific timeframe and not owe any money on there end if they are a direct registar.
Even if they spent money to register the domain they should eat the cost if now they decide you need id.

No, they did not register the domain at all. I have now registered the domain with another provider.

They only want to give my money back against ID.

And I won't give a copy of my ID because of 90$.

They're probably speculating on that too.

Although it's not clear whether they would then return the money or impose new conditions. That wouldn't even be guaranteed.

Its just a complete scam.

Domain registars (pretty sure AbeloHost resells from any registar provider) they can ask for Passport ID if your order are suspicious. In such case for domain related Abelohost can ask for passport ID, since they are reselling

You should go with anonymous domain registar

Overall the place webhosting scam and fraud. I've been one year with speedypage now they have my address and passport copy but it's not enough for them now. They need from me:

3 months Bank Statement!
3;months eletricity Bill
3 months Phone Bill

I be Germany Citizen and this scumbag webhoster wants all documents translated in english which will cost me serveral hundred Euros/ Dollars .

Is this a new imperial fraud against non US/UK citizens?

I not Trust an US or UK webhosting anymore, will stay within ionos Germany hosting they have fast US located vps servers with easy to install free plesk panel or I will Look for swedish webhosting .

Will this webhosting fraud becomes the norm against non US/ UK citizens?
