Ho*stgat*or

Even if they do the hold, it should still show as a credit and in your affiliate stats, it still should show a sale. That is the problem, Monty didnt recieve that.

ive signed people up for hostgator from my pc and had no problems... It also went to the same "pick your package" page monty's talking about. Sound like a chat with HG is needed. A little fishy on their end!

Att DSL is that cheap? Never realized. Guess I should pay attention a little more.

Yeah, I agree, it should show as a pending sale in your stats...at least it does in CJ. I just have never seen the HG affiliate dashboard and how it works...thought maybe they didn't even show the sale until it was "mature". Just a thought, but probably not the real answer.

Sorry OP...hope you get paid what's deserved.

... weird .. it alsways has worked for me. 4 times already ...

... just try to use a business name and the other time your personal name ;-)

Different paypal addresses work too ;-)

If you are setting up websites for other companies, then maybe you should get reseller account.

You know what? I'm glad you mentioned that. I totally forgot that I have one.

You're saying that if someone uses a coupon code and signs up under your affiliate link that you dont get the credit?

Thats not true.. I joined my own account up and used the Coupon code 'wordpress' for first month free and still got credit..

I'm with CJ..

Why would you be with HG directly on their aff program? Only pays sliding scale of $50 up to $100 .. with CJ you get $100 from sale number 1..

so what about 60 day hold.. still shows in your aff stats..

I have a reseller account with HG and signed up a client who wanted to get their own hosting/reseller account package. Acting on behalf of my client and using my IP, I signed them up through one of my HG affiliate links.

It didn't register/show in my affiliate stats so I contacted support. At first, they said that they pay thousands of people every day to which I replied, that's fine for the thousands of people but how about paying me.

Basically, they kept re-stating that technically, if it didn't register, then they weren't going to and didn't have to pay.

After a bit of polite debating, explaining the details and 9 support tickets later, I finally got an understanding supervisor who said to email them in 30 days to verify my client was still registered, which I did and they paid.

Not suggesting that this approach will work all of the time if your link doesn't register, but it's always worth a shot.

Cheers

a friend of mine signed up under his own aff link, the sale registered then it dissapeared, I believe he contacted HG and they said it was invalid.
=/

It took a couple days for a friends signup to show up for me with HG, but I ended up getting paid with no issues.

i signed up 2 friends from hg own affiliate programs and the sales was tracked immediately and i got paid 60 days later...
