And the general sensations of freedom, casualness and the feeling that you could accomplish anything you wanted.... the air around you oozed of energy, hope and vitality, you can sense this feeling in everything of that era: entertainment in general, but also in fashion (Crokett's outfits in Miami Vice, for example, are so casual, simple and elegant, yet so stylish and beautiful). You just can't beat the 80s, whoever was a kid in the 80s has had their best life

But yeah, time flies and blessed are those who have been kids in the 70s and 80s (with regards to entertainment anyway, because otherwise each decade has its own misery and issues)...

I'm 24 but my cultural preferences are more in tune with the 70s and 80s. Culture seems more vibrant. Today's culture seems to be in decline. Everyone my age listens to these rappers that are just c+p of eachother.

well, the 90s have been just a stone's throw away from the 80s so you can easily relate. It's the same thing with me, I was born exactly 1980 but whenever I hear people say that the 70s have been the best for them when they've been kids I can understand them.

Anyway, the 70s and 80s (up until mid-90s I'd say) have been the greatest decades for music IMO. Full of energy, possibilities and... synthesizer

If YT is pushing it it's probably because a lot of people are sick of the modern garbage and are now digging up the 80s. That'd be my guess
