Hey, hope you're all doing well! I'm new to Black Hat and excited to start my first journey. I'm posting this thread so I've got a track-record of the challenges I face on it and how I overcame them. Maybe some of you who have had or are going through a similar journey can benefit from it.

I’m starting a web design agency that will primarily market through cold calling. I’ll be updating this thread weekly with the challenges I face and the company’s profits.

February Update
What's up guys, its been a minute. So after we put out this post we got down to work, crafting out our A-Z plan, which is basically a rough outline step-by-step of what we need to do to achieve our goal. (P.S I don't think I mentioned but this is actually a joint venture, I have a background in sales and my business partner in setting up brick and mortar). After we did all the miscellaneous stuff like coming up with a name. We jumped straight to the most important thing... hiring talent. This is vital for us, as both of us have no experience whatsoever in web development.

Our first thought was just hire someone off Fiverr, but we quickly realised most of the guys on there are agencies so our profit margins would effectively be negative. Our next stop was Upwork, we put out a job posting and got quite a few responses, unfortunately after taking quite a few calls we realised the same problem was prevalent on this platform. The root-cause of our issue was everyone was demanding too much money.

Our inspiration for this entire journey, actually came from a fellow blackhat member. He put out a post a few years ago, on how he started an agency in India and marketed his services to the anglosphere. From what I can remember he was successful. He hired talent (paying them a couple hundred bucks for making wordpress or custom coded sites), and then selling them for $500-$2000 (depending on the clients needs).

- My partner is taking a trip to a third world country next month, and is going to directly recruit talent whilst out there. Once this hurdle, is overcome, we can move forward with lead generation and cold outreach. To be honest, I'm just eager to get started with cold calling.

Will update you guys once we actually start the lead-gen process. Thanks to everyone thats read and supported our journey so far.

We're all gonna make it brah.

That's very ambitious. Good luck.
yeah I know there's no timeframe on this journey, we're in it for the long run, this has low start up costs and need the capital for another venture.

i think you should lower your goal, gl
Yh Ik it's really saturated, but there no time frame for us and it's more about the skills we pick up along the way. Eventually we will outsource and automate, moving on to something else. There is no timeframe for this journey so we'll hit the goal, if it's 2, 3 or even 4 years down the road.
